2 Natural & Spiritual Farming Consistent and indiscriminate use of inorganic fertilizers and pesticides has caused serious damage to the soil, ecology and human health. To sustain the soil health and crop production with minimum input expenditure, Natural & Spiritual Farming plays important role. Zero Budget Natural Farming is becoming the preference of farmers for crop production. In zero budget spiritual farming there is no need to purchase the inputs from outside the farm. About 98% of the nutrients are taken by the plants from air, water & solar energy. For preparing the food, plants take necessary elements from nature. All the required plant nutrients are available free of cost in the nature. Without adding any nutrient from outside, the plants grows and give high production, which means that all the needed elements for growth and production are available around the root zone. In forest there is no human life even than plants & trees grow naturally which is all do to nature. Our soils are enriched with nutrients. But all the nutrients are not available to the plants. These unavailable forms of nutrients are converted to available forms by the millions of micro-organisms present in soil. In forest soils the micro-organisms are present in large amount, where as in our farms micro-organisms have been destroyed due to excessive use of chemicals. In natural farming indigenous breed of cow plays an important role as 1 gram of cow dung contains about 300 to 500 crore bene cial micro-organisms.therefore, it is based on research that natural & spiritual farming can sustain soil health, crop production & livelihood security for years. About HAU Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University popularly known as HAU is one of Asia's biggest agricultural universities, located at Hisar in the Haryana state of India. The University is named after India's seventh Prime Minister, Chaudhary Charan Singh. A leader in agricultural research in India, CCSHAU contributed signi cantly to Green Revolution and White Revolution in India in the 1960s and 70s. The University has the credit of receiving Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) Award for the Best Institute in 1996, Best AICRP Maize Centre Award , Krishi Karman Award (Mahindra and Mahindra), Krishi Shiksha Samman-2015 and many more. Continuing with its trail of achievements CCSHAU has once again bagged the Best Institute Award i.e., 'Sardar Patel Outstanding ICAR Institution Award 2016'. The University has 8,637 acres of land, around 7,219 acres at main campus and 1,418 acres at outstations. It has a well developed experimental farm of 994 hectares at main campus, Hisar along with ten experimental farms, one with each Regional Research Station covering an area of 568 hectares. Since 1970, there have been signi cant advances in research, teaching and extension by creation of strong infrastructure at its main campus and outreach stations.

3 Deendayal Upadhyay Centre of Excellence for Organic Farming Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar has established "Deendayal Upadhyay Centre of Excellence for Organic Farming" which was inaugurated by Sh. Manohar Lal, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Haryana in the august presence of Sh. Subhash Barala, MLA, Tohana; Dr. Kamal Gupta, MLA, Hisar and Prof. K.P. Singh, Vice-Chancellor, CCSHAU, Hisar on 31 October, The centre has been setup with the objective to popularize organic farming in the state. The organic farm under "Deendayal Upadhyay Centre of Excellence for Organic Farming" spreads over 139 acres of land, where farmers will be trained in organic farming as incubatee and they will be extended scienti c information on organic farming, marketing, storage and post harvest technology. This centre will be linked to university dairy where cow dung, cow urine and agriculture waste after converting into customize fertilizers through modern bio-compost and bio-energy units will be used on organic farm. The organic products of this centre will be directly sold in the market of Delhi and NCR. This is the rst center of its kind in the country where in due course the recommendations of organic farming will be prepared and given to the farmers who will be able to bene t from their implementation on their farm. In this centre, a custom hire centre will be run by the university students, who will also train the farmers about the use of advanced equipments and their commercialisation. 4 Gurukul Kurukshetra Gurukul Kurukshetra established by the great freedom ghter and dedicated social crusader Swami Shardhananda on 13 April, 1912 on the eve of Baisakhi. Adopting the ideals as set by Swami Dayananda, assimilating the traditional and modern culture this institution is enlightening the lives of thousands of students. Kurukshetra reminds us of the mega war where seed of India's destruction was sown; but on the positive side it reminds of the great Swami Shardhananda who planted a tree of knowledge in the form of Gurukul to remove the darkness of ignorance. That small sapling has now assumed the shape and size of a huge banyan tree. Students from various states of the country receive education at Gurukul. The aim of Gurukul system of education is to keep the students segregated from the madding crowd of cities, the squalor of outside culture and thought and in the lap of benevolent mother nature, a proper development of their personalities, health and character building, development of social interaction, make them shed their ignorance, keeping them far away from blind faith and superstition, protection and preservation of culture, encouraging students to adopt simple living and high thinking, creating awareness among them about culture, civilization and society, promoting their positive attitude, inculcating in them a sense of unity and providing high conduct oriented education etc. Gurukul Kurukshetra for last many years is practising zero budget natural farming which is eco-friendly, farmer friendly and maintains soil health for higher agriculture production.

6 Acharya Devvrat At present, the Governor of Himachal Pradesh, Dr. Devvrat was born on January 18, 1959 in a farming family of Haryana state. In 1978, he got Vidyavachshapati education from Dayanand Brahma College, Hisar. Apart from this, he did Vidhyabashkar (B.A.), Postgraduation in Hindi & History, B.Ed., Diploma in Yog Vigyan and Naturopathy & Yogic Science. Being the Principal of Gurukul Kurukshetra from July 1981 to August 9, 2015, he did many social works. In which the National think-tank and the Indian culture reach the masses, lectures on vedic values, cow nasal reform, organic farming, beti bachao-beti padhao and tree plantation are main. He has been honored with several awards and citations including the Bharat Jyoti Award, the American Medal of Honor, the Janhit Teacher Shri Award. He is a member of many social and educational institutions. The purpose of his life is to establish and integrate the ancient glory of Vedic culture and tradition and to develop scienti c understanding in human being. In order to establish new dimensions in agriculture, he has inspired farmers to adopt zero budget natural farming. Dr. Subhash Palekar Born on 1st July, 1949 in a village of Amrawati district of Maharashtra, he graduated in agriculture at Nagpur. He invented a technique which he named as Zero Budget Natural Farming. He has been involved in an editorial team in Bali Raja, a well known Marathi Agricultural Magazine in Pune from He has written more than 28 books in Marathi, English and Hindi. His movement on Zero Budget Natural Farming has attracted the attention of farmers, planners, thinkers, scientists and media as an alternate to chemical farming and to stop suicides. Zero Budget Natural Farming is in practice in various states of India. Zero Budget Natural Farming is becoming popular among farmers of Haryana who are practising organic farming. He has organised many seminars, workshops, trainings throughout the country to create awareness and popularize Zero Budget Natural Farming among farmers. He was bestowed with Basava Shri Award, Bharat Krushak Ratna Award and Gopal Gaurav Award by various organizations of Karnataka state. On January 21st, 2017 at Mumbai, he was honoured with Game Changer Award at the 7th National Conference and Game Changer Awards by the HR Club, Leadership Lounge and TENIndia.
