FERTILIZER TECHNICAL N PRODUCTS Who we are. And what we do. We are a reliable mineral fertilizer and technical nitrogen product distributor with a firm anchorage in the Borealis Base Chemicals Business Area. Embedded in the base chemicals business of Borealis, our aim is to strengthen our leading position in Europe and to grow in selected markets worldwide. We have a highly motivated, professional team, which operates in close proximity to customers from both agriculture and industry. Our far-reaching integration into the value chain guarantees security of supply and first class product and service standards.

growing Our objectives Growing with joy involves the active shaping of expansion and relates to growth in both a personal and a business sense. In this regard, one may take the Borealis L.A.T management at its word. For us, growing with joy also means portfolio enlargement because we wish to fulfill the needs of our customers to the greatest extent possible. Past developments confirm that our new slogan corresponds with reality, as evidenced by expansion not only in terms of the numbers of items available, but also our warehousing and sales region as a whole. All of which adds up to parallel growth amongst our partners and customers. Gerald Papst Vice-President BU Fertilizer Our customers represent the focus of both our thoughts and actions. Without them, our growth would be impossible. Accordingly, together with our partners, who market our chemical products, and via an extensive range of products and services, we assist our customers to achieve growth in their own business areas. Ernst Buchner Director Sales Fertilizer We are tapping into diverse new markets and are adding numerous production locations, which naturally results in increasingly complex logistics. However, overcoming the resultant challenges with new employees from differing cultures is most gratifying. Moreover, in the process, we generate additional advantages for our customers, who in future will thus be able to achieve supplementary growth. Zsolt Udvari Supply Chain Manager

FERTILIZER TECHNICAL N PRODUCTS Two business areas, one objective. Growing Fertilizer is an effective nutrient for increased growth. Borealis L.A.T s Fertilizer Business supplies the farming sector with top quality products. A diversity of crops from the grain to the oilseed crops, from to orchards to the horticulture, the vegetables to the pastureland are thus furnished with all needed nutrients. The correct use of fertilizers leads to success. Therefore, we support our customers with an extensive range of consulting, hints and advice relating to the optimum application and handling of our fertilizers. These services are provided by telephone, Internet and also on the spot. Technical nitrogen products Top quality and service standards. As a fully owned Borealis AG subsidiary and part of the international Borealis Group, the Technical Nitrogen Products Business has a global orientation and is responsible for related Group sales. Accordingly, from its head office in Linz, the Business supplies its industrial clientele around the world with a range of product solutions based on the commodities urea, ammonia, ammonium nitrate and nitric acid. Optimum yield and thus sustainable agricultural activities are important as they constitute the only means by which a profitable situation can be achieved for all those involved. Thereby we provide support with our handheld tool the N-Pilot to measure the nitrogen nutritional status directly in the field. Or in other words, growing

FERTILIZER TECHNICAL N PRODUCTS Borealis L.A.T : Europe s leading fertilizer distributor. Borealis L.A.T has a clear geographical focus on Europe and is the continent s leading fertilizer distributor. The company s head office is located in Linz, Austria, where apart from fertilizers, the globally active Borealis Group manufactures melamine and technical nitrogen products. Additional fertilizer production locations are situated in France (Ottmarsheim, Grand Quevilly, Grandpuits), Belgium (Moustier) and the Netherlands (Sas van Gent). In addition Borealis L.A.T has long-term relations with production and sales partners across the world. In selected areas our global market presence will be expanded. Innovations based on practicality Borealis L.A.T feels obligated to encourage good farming practice and therefore promotes intensively the use of the latest methods and equipment for the precise determination of the fertilizer requirement of agricultural crops. N-Management tools like N-Tester and N-Pilot measurements furnish our customers with valuable assistance during fertilizer planning. Borealis L.A.T supports the correct use of its products via a diversity of practical contacts. Numerous field tests and inspections, attendance at specialist agricultural trade fairs and 200 local events for farmers held every winter, underline the company s commitment with regard to the sustainability issue. In 2011, 70 years of fertilizer production were celebrated in Linz and in 2013, a century of production in Grand Quevilly, France. The know-how of Borealis L.A.T is furthermore complemented by Rosier, a mineral fertilizer manufacturer based in Moustier (Belgium) with history and experience since 1880.

FERTILIZER TECHNICAL N PRODUCTS A commitment to sustainability For Borealis L.A.T, the future presents a two-pronged challenge comprised by the sustained supply of the global population with food in tandem with the simultaneous protection of the environment. We are well aware that farming has an influence on every aspect of the eco-system. The atmosphere, water and soil are all impacted and flora and fauna are influenced to an equal degree. Therefore, a mineral fertilizer producer such as Borealis not only bears a special responsibility with regard to the environmental consequences of its production, but also the straightforward employment of its products. Thus, the question arises as to the contribution that a mineral fertilizer can make to sustainability. A comprehensive response is not limited to the individual acres of farmland, but is also reflected by the effects on every tonne of wheat, maize and rapeseed. For in the final analysis, halved yields mean that double the amount of precious land resources are required for cultivation. Climate protection and a secure supply of food The application of mineral fertilizers enhances both crop harvests and quality. Indeed, 48 per cent of the global population feeds itself via this increased output. Furthermore, by 2030 the world s food requirement is set to rise by another 50 per cent. In view of the limited availability of farmland, this additional need can only be covered by intensive and simultaneously sustainable production methods. Consequently, Borealis L.A.T has the objective of promoting higher arable farming yields with cleanly produced products. Smallest ecological footprint Today, Borealis fertilizer production in Linz is already setting the benchmarks of the tomorrow, as is exemplified by its lowemission manufacture of nitrogen fertilizers containing nitrates. This protects the climate and consumes less fossil fuel, thus creating fertilizers with the smallest ecological impact. The low carbon footprint standard thus achieved was already recognized in 2009 with the award of the Upper Austrian government s IRIS environmental prize.

growing Our promise. growing Cooperation with Borealis L.A.T provides effective nutrients for both personal and business-related growth. Gather inspiration through Borealis L.A.T products and take resultant pride in your harvests. Our teamwork creates opportunities for mutual further development.

FERTILIZER TECHNICAL N PRODUCTS Next door throughout Europe Borealis L.A.T s head office is situated in the heart of Europe on the banks of the River Danube in Linz, Austria. Borealis also has other fertilizer production plants in France, Belgium and the Netherlands and cultivates long-term partnerships worldwide. From its base in Linz, the Borealis L.A.T sales network extends along the Seine, Rhine and Danube from the Atlantic to the Black Sea. Nine subsidiaries are located across Europa in Bulgaria, Croatia, France, Greece, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Hungary. Furthermore in Belgium, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands company sales experts serve both Borealis L.A.T and its customers. 1) 1)

FERTILIZER TECHNICAL N PRODUCTS Success factors Those looking for farming success must use fertilizers in order to return to the soil the valuable nutrients absorbed by crops. Apart from its top quality products, Borealis L.A.T also supports farmers in this process with agronomic and technical know-how, especially with regard to correct fertilizer storage and optimum application. This provides better yields, which in turn facilitate sustained agricultural activities. This represents the only means by which a win-win situation can be attained for all those involved. Or in a nutshell, only thus can all sides achieve growing with joy.

Our products NAC 27 N AN 34 N UREA 46 N 20/20 +7SO₃+Zn 20/8/8 +3MgO+10SO₃ NAC 27 N Concentrated, rapidly effective and suitable for overall use the leading product with regard to nitrogen fertilization. First class granulate quality allows optimum spreading. Areas of application: NAC 27 N can be used for all crops with a nitrogen requirement, as well as all types of soil (even those with a high ph value) and every form of operation. AN 34 N AN (Ammonium Nitrate) is a solid nitrogen fertilizer in prilled or granulated form. It contains the nitrogen half as Nitrate-Nitrogen, half as Ammonium-Nitrogen. Due to significantly lower volatilization losses ammonium nitrate gives a substantial better nitrogen efficacy and efficiency. Areas of application: AN works well in every crop and on each soil: no matter if sandy, heavy, high or low ph, cold or warm climate. Therefore AN is the universal, approved and established nitrogen fertilizer in the European agriculture. UREA 46 N Highly concentrated with a 46 per cent urea content and thus particularly efficient. Used correctly this is an economic and reasonable priced source of nitrogen. Areas of application: root crops on soils that are rich in clay and slightly acid. Incorporating into the soil assists the effect of UREA 46 N. 20/20 +7SO₃+Zn This NP fertilizer with a harmonious nutrient ratio represents an ideal supplement to manure and swing tube potash spreading. Areas of application: all types of crop cultivation, as well as maize (under foot) fertilizing and intensively used grassland. 20/8/8 +3MgO+10SO₃ This multi-nutrient fertilizer possesses a high nitrogen content and balanced amounts of magnesium and sulfur. Areas of application: this compound fertilizer with a high level of nitrogen is particularly efficient and safe for use with cereal crops. It can be employed on soils with sizeable concentrations of basic nutrients and as a supplement to manure on livestock intensive farms for the fertilization of maize, rapeseed and root crops. 14/10/20 +10SO₃ 14/10/20 +10SO₃ This compound fertilizer contains a large amount of watersoluble phosphate (85 %) and high levels of potash and sulfur (sulfur is also required when the need for potash is greater). Areas of application: this compound fertilizer is especially suitable for locations that are low in potash and for operations producing large quantities of sugar beet and straw for sale. It is also ideal for light soils and purely arable farming.

15/15/15 +7SO₃+Zn 12/12/17+2MgO +12SO₃+B+Zn growing 15/15/15 +7SO₃+Zn This PK-intensive complex fertilizer is suitable for soils and crops with high basic nutrient requirements. Areas of application: this product is particularly useful for purely arable farms in order to secure to fertile soils with high long-term yields. 12/12/17 +2 MgO+12SO₃+B+Zn The NPK fertilizer contains potash in chloride and sulfate form. The PK-strong formula is ideally supplemented with boron and zinc micronutrients. Areas of application: as an S/CI formula, it is especially suited to the cultivation of potatoes, grapes and vegetables. 15/5/ MgO +25SO₃+B+Zn VARIO 15/5/ MgO+25SO₃+B+Zn This chloride-free composite fertilizer contains potash exclusively in sulfate form. The formula is supplemented in ideal fashion with boron and zinc micronutrients. Areas of application: suitable for use in chloride-sensitive crops such as wine, fruit and vegetables, as well as employment in forestry and horticulture. VARIO This consists exclusively of a compound fertilizer, combined and mixed with NAC 27 N and granulated ammonium sulfate. The granulates are matched with regard to surface and specific weight, with the result that using two-disk spreaders, sufficient distribution precision can be achieved up to a distance of 18m. The product portfolio includes both NPKs and single nitrogen fertilizers containing sulfur. Nutrient Content in % For further information, please contact your responsible Borealis L.A.T consultant.
