3 Integrated processes Before a product leaves our company and is delivered to you, it must undergo the whole bandwidth of modern development, production and quality processes. Our SAP system integrates these business processes making them transparent and reproducible. We also consistently use planning and control instruments to reduce delivery times, increase our flexibility and be able to offer you a higher quality at a reasonable price. Product marketing We find ideas for new products. Extensive research of technology, use and benefit to find market specifications for the realization of a new product. Development More than 30 % of our employees work in research and development. They have consolidated and broad know-how, and the use of up-to-date technologies and working materials as well as comprehensive documentation allows us to develop products which set new benchmarks on the relevant markets. Enterprise resource planning Enterprise resource planning, with purchase being a part of it, is especially important. We need to find suppliers with international quality certificates, whose products comply with the prescribed standards, such as RoHS. When the goods are received, they are checked to see whether they meet our quality requirements. Our sophisticated ERP system ensures that components are at the right place at the right time. Production Kaba products are manufactured using modern production techniques and processes. This includes computer-based SMD loading and automatic, optical inspection AOI in the production of printed circuit boards and assemblies. In the additional in-circuit test, all printed circuit boards are checked for correct functioning. Electronic components are artificially aged in climate chambers to guarantee a long service life of the products in use. Products are assembled by our employees according to certified processes. In the final test, each product is checked for correct functioning, and the results are documented and archived. Employees confirm the proper production process by means of a quality stamp in the order documentation. Quality management We were the first on the market to have our processes certified to the quality standard ISO Since then, a sophisticated QA system for the entire production process ensures that our products fully comply with the quality term «Made in Germany». Of course, we comply with legal regulations such as RoHS, WEEE, REACH or ErP. A certification of our products to the standards CE and UL underlines this claim. The communication software for ERP systems, such as SAP, is also certified. Business management As internationally acting company, business management joins all activities to market our products successfully. This includes, in particular, a marketcompliant pricing, informing our customers about new products, and complaint management. Our employees are on site to analyze the possibilities of use and to modify the Kaba products to match country-specific circumstances.
