The range of offers is expansive as our portfolio offers diverse possibilities for every requirement. IT Infrastructure: Depending on your infrastructure, there are various solutions for optimization such as client systems, UPS systems, firewalls, load balancers, server racks, accessories and Ethernet switches. Hardware: Depending on the intended application, we offer individually configurable rack, tower and multi-node servers as well as storage systems and PCs. Software: We are partners with numerous leading software manufacturers including Microsoft, VMware and Linux. Our range, however, is not limited to their products. We also develop our own backup and monitoring software, with TKmon and middleware from filoo being two examples. Services: Buying from Thomas-Krenn gets you more than just a product, as we consider service an integral part of the overall package. Even though we have grown up with our success, we have not abandoned the virtues of our early years. 6 Who we are. As a partner of small and medium-sized businesses, we know the needs of our customers. This also benefits our larger customers as our decentralized departments allow us to react flexibly and quickly. Since our founding, we operate on open source principles. That is why we test our servers with 35 operating systems, are Linux-certified consultants as well as OSBF and Linux Foundation partners. For us, open source also means sharing knowledge: our experts share their knowledge in the Thomas-Krenn wiki, in our TKmag blog and via webinars. The know-how of our employees is also reflected in our products. We do not rely on manufacturer specifications or the accuracy of third party compatibility and performance information. Instead we test everything ourselves from hardware, operating systems and virtualization software to storage solutions and clusters. And if we don t like a manufacturer s product, we consider how to create our own. So far, we have developed some innovative solutions, such as the Low Energy Server a product that was recognized with the IT Innovation Award. Without their knowledge and know-how, Thomas-Krenn would never have become what it is today. Initially, the company consisted of just its two founders. Today it is a successful medium-sized company with roughly 150 employees. Each one of them is more than just a simple employee. We see them as co-entrepreneurs with a high degree of professional competence, the freedom to make decisions and a strong understanding of customer service. The majority of the team is made up of technicians or work in the Purchasing, Production, Quality Control, Sales, Marketing, Administration and Research departments.
