Overview The CoE-IDP provides outsourced services in the area of document digitisation, optical character recognition, data capture and extraction and archiving to a broad customer portfolio spread across the world. Within Canon Business Services the CoE-IDP provides flexible and high capacity services in a technologically advanced environment at attractive pricing. CBS s operation provides ready to use facilities to existing and new Canon customers and is fully equipped to support organisational needs on an international scale. Our services can be categorized in four main areas: 1. Bulk (backlog) scanning and indexing 2. Business process imaging 3. Data capture & content recognition 4. Physical & electronic archiving Within these services virtually every type of document can be processed, e.g.: Accounts Payable doc s and info (invoices etc.) Logistics & Shipping documents Manufacturing documents Service reports Measurement protocols Contracts/Policies Research inquiries Forms for credit cards issue Requests for new mobile phone tariffs How does it work? Before CoE-IDP can start with data extraction and validation, the required documents need to be scanned and the data needs to be transferred to CoE-IDP. This can be done in four different ways*: 1. Documents can be scanned in-house at the customer location 2. Documents can be scanned at a local hub located in the designated country 3. Documents can be scanned locally by the sales organisation 4. Documents can be received and scanned centrally at the CoE-IDP If documents are scanned at local level, all digital data will be transferred From this point we receive the documents from our secure server and start the classification (defining the correct document type), extraction (reading the right index fields from the document), enrichment (adding additional information to the document) and validation (checking the correctness of the previous steps) process.

Main part is located in the suburb of Prague and second in city of Ostrava (400 km from Prague) Building sizes 500 Sq m Prague 400 Sq m in Ostrava Departments The facility is divided in three different areas: Scanning area Data Processing area (validation, indexing, etc.) Archive area Each area is fully networked and has a high speed internet connection. Number of employees 40 core employees and a pool of 100 trained temporary workers Fully networked and speed internet connected Security CoE-IDP manages a high level of security according to banking rules and customer data handling.
