10 How to successfully compete? The digitalized brewery To optimize costs and become faster, breweries need to improve their processes, and make those processes more transparent and flexible. 11 The SABMiller brewery group demonstrated that the radar level transmitter with a hygienic design meets high requirements in practice. The Sitrans LR250 hygienic encapsulated antenna (HEA) is specifically tailored to the requirements of beverage production.

12 Virtually brewing: to ensure smooth set-up of the new brewing, Paulaner brewery relied on the Siemens Tecnomatix simulation tool. The simulation model comprising of the brewhouse, fermentation and storage tanks, filters, pressure tanks, filling lines, and storage enables simulation of the entire production process.
