4 Standards Jimmy s Killer Fish & Chips maintains the highest of standards and demands the same from its franchisees. There is no compromise on the quality of food and levels of service. The Cost of Setting up a Killer Franchise The average setup cost of a Jimmy s Killer Fish and Chips Franchise is between R and R , depending on the size of the premises. This excludes any potential Tenant Installation (TI) allowance received from landlords. This is for a turn-key operation exclusive of Joining Fee, opening stock and VAT.

VAT) Working Capital (Stock, rental deposit, misc) Transport Costs: *Applies to stores from 50km outside of Johannesburg R R R R R R The costs mentioned includes opening menus (X 5000), Balloons package, uniforms (5 staff members), flyers and 1 newspaper advert The costs mentioned do not include any structural changes to fixed property like shop fronts, air conditioners, building of external walls, demolishing and outside deck or outside flooring etc. The final set up costs will only be determined once the particular site has been inspected. A minimum of 50% of the set up costs must be unencumbered. In the event of the opening of the outlet being unsuccessful, only 75% of the sign-up fee will be refundable.

Route for extraction ducting.

7 Return on Investment The business model has been designed to achieve a return on your capital within a period 18 to 24 months. It is our recommendation that the entire amount required for the set up of the franchise be from your own capital. Operation of the Franchise The concept has the advantage whereby the outlet can be 100% manager operated. The controls and point of sale system is already being used in existing Jimmy s franchised outlets. All goods, packaging and relevant branded goods will be supplied from a central distribution centre. All training and set up will be done by the Jimmy s head office team. Royalty The franchise / royalty fee will be 5% of turnover. This would be paid on a monthly basis by no later than the 7th of each month. A National marketing fee is also charged.
