30 Changing the language of the eco calculator We are happy to inform you that the eco calculator can be localised Because of cost reasons unfortunately it is not possible to offer the eco calculator in all European languages It was decided to offer localised versions for the following languages French Dutch German Polish Italian Czech Spanish In order to limit the costs these NOCs have to provide the translations to BEU (a separate will be send for organising everything) BEU takes care of the language implementation 30

33 Eco Calculator vs. Vendor Green IT Eco Calculator The Eco calculator is based on the TEC from the energy star It is not possible to include for example the customer s print volume Therefore the eco calculator provides only a rough overview of the possible savings Vendor Green IT The Vendor Green IT software is much more detailed than the eco calculator Many customer specific data can be implemented for the energy consumption calculation, e.g. Number of print jobs per day Pages per print job Number of working days per week Activation time which means time from the end of print till the device switches to low-power mode or sleep mode 33
