COURSE OUTLINE This 5-days training course is designed for geoscientists : geophysicists and geologists, petroleum engineers and anyone involved in using seismic data. It will create an important and necessary common understanding between geophysics and non-geophysicist and bridge the information gulf to facilitate effective communication in building a good team work. 4 ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR Alpius Dwi Guntara is presently working with PT Pertamina (Persero) as Seismic Data Acquisition Specialist. He earned B.sc. degree in Geophysics and Meteorology from ITB (1991), M.sc. and Doctoral degree in Applied Geophysics from ITB (2003 and 2012). He began his geophysical career in 1992 with PT Pertamina until now and for nearly 20 years, he works mainly on seismic data acquisition design, operation, field quality control and data processing. Most of the working areas are land, transition zone (TZ) and marine for all PT Pertamina working area. His research is focused on experience pertaining to the extension of high resolution seismic imaging work for exploration, production, reservoir monitoring and characterization combines with other geophysical methods like microgravity, resistivity and magnetotelluric (MT). Most recently he has been very active in 3D seismic design and quality assurance of field operation on PT Pertamina working area in Indonesia or overseas.
