4 NH 229 Nechipu to Hoj Highway Project, Arunachal Pradesh Roads / Highways LEADING TO PROSPERITY SIML is playing an active part in building India s landmark road projects that are accelerating economies and changing lives of people along their course. From traditional design-build projects to the more complex Design Finance Build Operate Transfer ( DFBOT ) Projects to site development, paving and utility systems, SIML has been a reliable partner in executing the job from planning and designing phase to the final layer of asphalt. Sushee IVRCL Arunachal Highways Ltd. ( a special purpose vehicle formed by SIML & IVRCL Ltd. ) has been awarded the prestigious NH-229 Road Project, by Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Govt. of India to develop the 252 Kms long existing road between Nechipu - Hoj into a standard two-lane National Highway with 7 m carriage way and 12 m formation. SIML is efficiently executing this mammoth project on DFBOT ( Annuity basis ) involving 2,16,22,301 Cu. m of mountain cutting, realignment and formation related earth work with 3 major river bridges, 29 minor river bridges and 1476 culverts well ahead of the schedule. 4

The Company has the competitive advantages of unique expertise, latest equipment and experienced manpower to achieve the desired rate of efficiency for timely completion of projects. SIML s mining operations include blast hole drilling, blasting, controlled blasting, excavation, loading, transportation, dumping, hauling of overburden. The Company has completed some vital open cast coal mining contracts and also has on going projects with India's top coal companies that include Northern Coal Fields Ltd., Western Coal Fields Ltd., Singareni Collieries Co. Ltd. and Bharat Coking Coal Ltd. SIML endeavours to foray into core mining and extraction of minerals. To harness its capabilities to the fullest, the Company is actively pursuing to own mines or take on lease, in India and overseas for core mining operations and mineral extraction for both local consumption and exports.
