The method: Integrated Design! On the bases of our integrated design approach we closely work together with all stakeholders of a project: client, architect, engineers and future occupants. At the beginning of a project we define goals based on sophisticated simulation tools to predict energy demand, thermal comfort, investment and life cycle costs. By combing innovative technologies we find cost optimized and innovative solutions for the benefit of our clients. The implementation: Certified Quality! After successfully finishing the concept we do not leave our clients alone. We closely monitor the implementation of our concepts through a detailed quality control during the complete design, construction and commissioning process. To ensure a high quality we recommend to carry out a third party building certification according to the DGNB (German Association for sustainable buildings) or LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental and Design) system. 4 HOLISTIC ENERGY DESIGN All services from one company Energy and Sustainability Concepts: The basis for economic design solutions Computational Simulation Studies: Evaluating buildings before they are built Our services range from energy design and the complete HVAC design of buildings up to commissioning and post occupancy optimization. In a nutshell: after commissioning, we continue our work, checking the energy efficiency of the building or individual systems, the room climate and we support the optimization of the operation, if needed. Experience shows again and again that there is valuable optimization potential in the real building operation. Furthermore we are offering consultancy services regarding sustainability and certify buildings according to DGNB and LEED. A detailed concept is well-founded on systematic demand analysis and advanced design analysis techniques. It develops customized solutions matching the functional, economic and architectural requirements of the client and later the user. It is developed individually for the location, its climate and the project s overall environment. 5 Design Services: A good design saves life cycle costs The design of a building defines its ability to perform to the demand of the owner and later the user. It determines how the overall requirements of the environment can be met. Our designs are well developed based on detailed analysis, appropriate for the location, the climate and local market and they are not oversized. Thus our design services often pay for themselves. EGS-plan International has four LEED accredited professionals in its team with a combined hands-on project experience of more than ten LEED projects. The DGNB System of the German Sustainability Building Council does not only certify the quality of a building, but it leads its design, construction and operation systematically towards a better quality with multiple benefits for the owners, users and society. It evaluates aspects of ecology, economics and sociocultural functionality, as well as the technical quality, process quality and the quality of the location.
