12 OBJECTIVE: Provide a Forum for EE and Natural Resource Information for Educators, Students, and Communities of the Mojave Desert Region. MISSION: Pool Educational Resources in the Mojave Desert and Team to Become more Effective in Outreach and EE Through Local Sponsors and Educator Support. MEEC Goes Beyond CREEC s Traditional Outreach and Targets the Community as well as K-12 Audience.
13 Goals 1. Recruit consortium members and establish working committees. 2. Seek funding (sponsors/grants) for MEEC and its many programs. 3. Provide a dedicated MEEC Coordinator for the Mojave Desert. 4. Create an extensive network of teachers and involve teachers in formulating a comprehensive EE program. 5. Create EE activities in the Mojave Desert region and involve teachers, students, parents, and the community - at - large. 6. Form centralized EE resource centers and clearinghouse for the Mojave Desert region. 7. Serve as a direct local link to CREEC Region 10 & CREEC Network.
