5 Management GP Joule Co-Founders, Ove Petersen and Heiner Gärtner combine an entrepreneurial spirit with an unpretentious style: Our roots are in farming and being responsible stewards of the environment for our families and future generations is what we are passionate about. Maintaining sustainable business practices carry over to our relationships with business partners as well as customers. Ove Petersen, graduated from Weihenstephan University of Applied Science in 2000, with a degree of Diplom-Agraringenieur (MSc agricultural engineering). Since 2002 the father of three has been running a farm in Reußenköge, which is a net producer of energy and carbon neutral utilizing Wind, Solar and Biomass. Heiner Gärtner, Co-Founder farms in Buttenwiesen, Bavaria. The agricultural engineering graduate took over the family farm two years after graduating from the University of Weihenstephan with a degree in Applied Science. Heiner remains loyal to his Bavarian roots, where he lives with his wife and four boys.
