1 Evaluation of traineeship This evaluation will give the University of Aalborg important information in regards to your traineeship in a foreign country. The evaluation will be used to help future students who wish to try a traineeship abroad. International Office 1. Traineeship Name of the company / organization (and country): Eventisimo (Seville, Spain Starting date: 19/09/2016 End date: 16/12/2016 Did you find the length of the traineeship: too short too long perfect X Please elaborate: I decided to shortened the period of my internship What was your main motivation for doing an internship? _ To gain experience in the MICE tourism sector and to put into practice my the knowledge gain during my Master degree and possible make connections in that sector.

2 Please describe your main tasks as an intern, as well as evaluate these tasks: To support several account managers in the creation of events/incentive/ conferences/ convention proposals and quotations for potential international customers. Daily communication with providers and customer Answering the back up of the central phone of Eventisimo in all Spain Solving eventualities regarding current and near projects. What is the subject of your trainee report? It was not related at all with the internship in Eventisimo. It was about a possible strategy that could attract dark tourist to the Cartuja Island in Seville Spain. Please provide a short evaluation of the traineeship from an academic point-of-view: I deeply suggest that the students that apply to this company should have previous knowledge (academic knowledge/experience) about the creation of Events/ in a destination Management Company). The last point is related to the fact that the level of work and stress of the employees does not allow the employees to properly train, consequently the student is forced to learn by doing and have to keep short deadlines. I would like to point out that the human quality and professionalism in a high level of stress of the employees of Eventisimo is one of main motors of this company. However, this situation put the student in a very stressed environment. Nevertheless, contrary to other companies Eventisimo gives a high level of responsibility to the interns, which makes the internship a place to put into practice the intern common sense, creativity, who almost independently is open to come out with a proposal for a customer which will be finally supervised by a Account Manager previous to be sent to the client. To conclude, I just would like to mention that even if I decided to shortened my internship period I do gained a lot of knowledge about the creation of proposals, quotations and most importantly I gained a new family; the Eventisimo family. 3. I was not really consider as a foreign intern because Spanish is my mother tongue Did they arrange any of these upon your arrival? a welcome meeting an information meeting nothing X Please elaborate: How well and to what extent did you integrate with your colleagues at the company / organization? I integrated wonderfully to my colleagues, but a guess that was because I do take the initiative to get in contact with them, trying to help un anything I could and I was surprise that in my last day at the internship most of them (more than 100 employees) knew who I was. 4. 5 How much more did you spend each month abroad compared to your expenses if you had stayed at Aalborg University? (DKK per month): Are there any grants you would recommend other students to apply for? Yes, I consider the grants are a big help, it would have been tight for me if I did not have it. 8. Personal gains and evaluation of internship Please consider the value of your internship from an academic point of view? It is precious to out into practice the knowledge you gain and the experience that you gain working in the real world in rich, as well as the connections and contacts you made Please consider the value of your internship from a personal point of view? It was also rich I learnt about how to react in a very stressful environment and I gain many many friends for life. Please give a short evaluation of the traineeships benefits from a social point of view: From a social point of view to make an internship abroad teach a lot about different cultures, and how important to be interested in the others and be open to help them because also you will depend of you as they will depend also on you regarding the work they delegated. In the case of Eventisimo which is in house agency in which are forced to depend also of many other department, I learn that you take imitative to get in contact with even if is through a smile of a short and fast thank you, Did you experience any serious issues or problems during your internship? If yes, how did you solve them or how were you helped in solving them? Yes I was frustrated that during my first week I did not received any training and I that just answer the phone. Also I was frustrated that the week after I received projects without receiving any proper training. However, I did my best effort even I that means to work overtime. Are there any things about the internship that you especially appreciate?? The professionalism and kindness of many many of the employees and that flourish even in the most stressful scenarios.
