1 Senior Workforce Analyst, Forecasting and Planning Services and Access, Service Delivery and Operations As part of the Forecasting and Planning team, the Senior Workforce Analyst provides technical leadership for the strategy, design and delivery of demand forecasting and strategic/tactical workforce planning across Services and Access and Operations groups. 2 What you will do to contribute Provide workforce planning for Services and Access and Operations frontline people Develop and maintain forecasting, planning and scheduling tools Provide analysis and design of optimal shift patterns and rostering to match demand and ensure efficient utilisation of people Develop and manage the process for deployment of people across Services and Access and Operations groups Support and mentor other people within the team by proactively sharing knowledge and providing advice and peer review As a result we will see The availability of planning and scheduling tools across Services and Access and Operations groups Specialist knowledge and advice is shared with the team of Workforce Analysts Processes and tools are developed to support the deployment of frontline people across Services and Access and Operations groups Capability is developed within the team by promoting a continuous learning environment, through effective mentoring of team members Operations and Systems Support and analysis Provide forecasting and modelling of future workforce needs Provide information and analysis to establish baselines and measurements for benefits realisation Provide demand forecasting and planning to support cohort-based recruitment and training Work collaboratively with other Support functions to provide information and advice on systems performance Support the Customer Design and Uptake teams, in managing changes to business processes including identifying skill and training gap implications and Work with the Customer Design and Uptake teams to identify and analyse the potential impact of changes and improvement initiatives on existing business processes to identify the implications, benefits and risks for operational performance and service delivery Provision of relevant forecasts of workforce needs in a changing environment Cohort-based recruitment and training is informed by appropriate forecasts Operations groups are well positioned to understand baseline data to enable transparent reporting on the impact of change Operations management teams are informed about system performance and capability Page 2 of 5

3 What you will do to contribute Inform strategic direction Define workforce planning system, and inform and support the development of business cases to deliver fit for purpose tools Inform investment in technology Work collaboratively with Service Delivery and Operations management to ensure workforce planning tools meet our future Business Maintain knowledge of developments in workforce planning and workflow distribution technology, and provide trusted strategic advice Work collaboratively with Support teams and Technology Services and Solutions to provide fit for purpose systems and tools Management Support Work collaboratively with the Services and Access and Operations leadership teams to ensure that frontline business units are well supported through strategic planning, business systems, business information and a structured approach to business improvement Ensure we have the capability to provide information that meets strategic planning and reporting Provide analysis and reporting to support transparent cost allocation Relationship Management Develop effective working relationships with managers and colleagues in Services and Access and Operations to contribute to a positive team culture Develop effective working relationships with colleagues in Service Delivery and Operations and the wider Department, particularly those who are involved in workforce planning Health and safety (for self) Work safely and take responsibility for keeping self and colleagues free from harm Report all incidents and hazards promptly Know what to do in the event of an emergency Cooperate in implementing return to work plans As a result we will see We will have the tools needed to for workforce planning Managers will receive sound advice on where to invest in new technology and the associated business benefits Workforce planning tools meet future business needs Operations Managers are informed about new developments in workforce planning and workflow distribution technology Technology Services & Solutions work programmes deliver systems and tools that are fit for purpose and meet our needs Frontline business units planning, systems, information and improvement are well supported Accurate information is provided to support strategic planning and reporting Transparent and timely reports are provided that support cost allocation Positive and effective working relationships with managers and colleagues in Services and Access and Operations Effective working relationships with colleagues in Service Delivery and Operations and Internal Affairs A safe and healthy workplace for all people using our sites as a place of work.
