You are computer literate (preferably Apple, word processing, spreadsheets, presentations and database), happy to undertake a wide range of admin tasks from typing client file notes, managing diaries, invoicing, to planning retreats for the next 3 years and you take pride in the part you play in our work. You are fun, interesting, trustworthy and are comfortable working with a wide range of leaders. The job has plenty of scope to develop as you help to develop our services and business. There may be scope for research and for you to develop particular areas of work, which in the first instance will be the Young leadersʼ Project in summer You care passionately about values and people and are driven to make a difference. 2 You will understand or have an empathy for the worlds of psychology, psychotherapy, coaching, counselling or training and you will be enthusiastic about cutting edge methodologies whilst keeping a very tight rein on the administration of all of our work. We will help to develop your skills to help you to help us to grow. The Way Ahead Groupʼs Retreat gave me the time I can very rarely find for myself to reflect on how I personally deliver the vital changes I want to see in the world, it was powerful, challenging and extremely valuable. You will report to Duncan Fraser, founding MD of The Way Ahead Group and Director The Mindful Leadership Foundation. Duncan has worked with senior clients individually and in groups developing their reflective skills to a high level. Duncan leads the Way Ahead Groupʼs policy, product and coach development. Duncan also led the research and development of our 360 tool the Big Questions. He has twenty years experience of the public and cultural sectors as chief executive, consultant, artistic and community director, trainer, marketing director, funder, programmer, researcher and broadcaster. Duncan has broadcast on and written about leadership development. Having originally trained in the arts, management and leadership he has undertaken advanced training in integrative psychotherapy. Duncan is in the London office when coaching but the demand for his services takes him all over the country so you need to be a self-starter. You will also be working with Deepa Bidd who shares the post (2 days a week). Sara Penny is our Finance Manager based remotely and you will liaise with her regularly on financial matters. You will be liaising with our family of advisers who-we-are/our-advisers/ a group of senior leaders. You will also work with other associates, all professionals of the highest calibre and be liaising with our clients who are all senior in their profession in the third and public sectors. The administratorʼs task is the efficient, effective and supportive running of the organisation, being passionate about the detail of managing and caring for tmlf employer / client relationships and keeping an eye on the big picture, looking out for possible future developments. key tasks admin to administrate all tmlf research, projects and services to manage the diary of the director and other coaches to manage the office to manage all twag files in accordance with twagʼs policies to administrate client materials including coaching tools and the Big Questions, twagʼs 360 questionnaire to maintain project timetables and critical paths liaising with clients, venues and booking all related arrangements to manage / issue and monitor client and coach contracts typing confidential file notes from audio to administrate training, meetings, seminars, retreats for twag staff and other appropriate individuals 3

4 retreats administrate residential retreats, marketing, booking, practical arrangements (3 per year + 2 strategic in partnership) production of retreat workbooks, co-ordinate evaluation projects to administrate tmlf projects to administrate the International Young Leaders Project in partnership with the YL Project Manager to manage the Mindful Leadership Community and its 3 New Days to manage all administrative and financial aspects of the way ahead group residential retreats to support the Finance Manager in all financial matters marketing to develop, administrate and monitor all marketing activity to administrate, develop, produce and disseminate publications to administrate, produce and disseminate client communication to maintain the web site through a Content Management System 4
