Hours/Week JOB SUMMARY: (This section should summarize the overall purpose ( mission ) of this job in 1-4 sentences. Briefly describe the primary reason the job exists at LCC.) Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Coordinator for Scholarships and Operations oversees the functions related to both Foundation and College scholarship awards, and Foundation operations and program fund expenditures and billings and assists with the development of the Foundation annual budget. Oversees grants awarded to, and by, the Foundation. Serves as the Foundation liaison to the Foundation Finance and Executive committees. Individual will be a member of the College-wide Scholarship team and be able to clearly articulate scholarship processes and policies within the Foundation. Maintains a high level of communications with donors, prospects, parents, students, volunteers, and LCC staff. Has knowledge of basic fundraising skills including cultivation and solicitation of donors. Works with Foundation staff to plan and host events. Able to work independently and in a team setting. Participate with the Foundation staff in creating new resources that will support LCC students and programs. Other duties, as assigned, are implicit in all position descriptions. % No Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for Foundation and College Scholarship selection, maintenance, and compliance. Establishes scholarship timeline, processes, and makes changes to College/Foundation scholarships. Responsible for marketing of scholarships to internal and external audiences. Serves as the scholarship information resource and is able to clearly articulate scholarship processes and policies throughout the College and Foundation. Establishes guidelines for administering and reporting of scholarship expenditures. Prepares reports of all scholarship activity for the Foundation and College Business office. Chairs the College Scholarship Committee. Maintain communications with donors and actively work with donors and prospects with the goal of raising additional funds for scholarships and programs. Coordinates and participates in the College Wide Scholarship Work Team. Develops and maintains the College scholarship pages. Responsible for communication with applicants not receiving scholarships. Assists with the development of the Foundation annual budget. Coordinates Foundation budget, check disbursements, operations and funding request billings. Serves as liaison for the LCC Foundation Finance Committee and Executive Committee, providing reports (cash flow, endowed fund allocation and other financial and scholarship reports and data analysis) as needed. Prepares agendas, minutes and reports for the committees. Serves as liaison to the investment consultants. Provides back up for the Foundation database specialist and is familiar with the donor software and gift entry. Provides deposit backup for College Financial Services when necessary Assist donors and students with questions regarding scholarship contributions, applications, allocations and disbursements. Evaluates and approves scholarship exceptions. Responsible for the financial reporting and reconciliation of Foundation and College scholarship funds to the Executive Director of the LCC Foundation, Allocations committee, and Foundation Board of Directors. Provides annual analytic data pertinent to the scholarship awards and other analysis as needed. Coordination of program funds, funding requests and grants assigned to the LCC Foundation Office. Insures that program fund expenditures fall within the scope of the program fund. Provides program fund reconciliations and balances to department chairmen and deans. Develops tracking, disbursement integrity, reconciliation and reports for Foundation grants. Within the parameters established by the Foundation Executive Director serves as spokesperson regarding scholarship information and serves as a resource (both information and presentations) for LCC departments, LCC high school recruiters, LCC public relations, and community groups. KNOWLEDGE: Technical, specialized, disciplinary, industry-specific and/or operational knowledge or understanding required in your job Knowledge of office procedures Knowledge of college systems Advanced computer software experience, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, college-related programs and the internet Knowledge of program requirements and prerequisites Knowledge of college student records, registration, budget, Banner Student System, R25, Service Requests and Argos Reporting Ability to master scholarship database software. Budgetary and financial knowledge to understand Foundation operations and investments, scholarship allocation process and assist Finance Committee. Thorough knowledge of opportunities at and within LCC.

Bachelor s degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related work experience required. Advanced experience working with Windows-based computer application (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Microsoft Publisher, Outlook) products, and database programs. required. Customer service experience required. Experience in budgeting, bookkeeping, and accounting required. Five (5) years related work experience in business and organizational support functions to include office management and event planning and organization, preferred. Experience creating written materials for publication, such as brochures, preferred.
