PURPOSE OF THE POST (Describe the purpose of the post) Under supervision of Fundraising Specialist (Chief of Section), to develop, implement, and evaluate all corporate partnerships and fundraising activities in order to support existing programs and raise funds to support UNICEF Philippines Country Office. 3 3. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Describe in order of importance what is does and how it is done. Do not exceed more than major duties. Indicate the percentage of time devoted to each duty or responsibility. Do not include duties of less than 5%.) Approx. (%) 30% 1. Assess and identify potential corporate partners for UNICEF fundraising in the Philippines. Identify opportunities to expand existing corporate partnerships as well as develop and maintain new ones. All corporate fundraising must be done in accordance with relevant policies and guidelines. 25% 2. Develop corporate fundraising strategies and implementation of various relevant activities, i.e. corporate philanthropy, special events, etc. in close consultation with Fundraising Specialist. 20% 3. Assist in managing overall corporate fundraising data and information. Prepare and maintain updated records and reports on a periodic basis and contribute to the preparation of the annual budget and work plan. 20% 4. Carry out administrative and operational tasks for fundraising activities, including obtaining clearances and approvals from PFP/HQ, in coordination with the Regional Support Centre, PFP. 5% 5. Perform other duties, as required. 4. WORKING CONDITIONS (Do the duties of this post involve frequent traveling or unusual conditions or is it a normal office-based post?) Normal office-based post, with occasional travel to meet with corporations and visit field projects. 5. IMPACT AND CONSEQUENCE OF ERROR (a) Describe the type of decisions regularly made and the impact of those decisions. In consultation with the Supervisor, decide on corporate partnerships and relevant fundraising activities. (b) Describe the type of recommendations regularly made and why these are important. Recommend to the Supervisor and PFP team corporate fundraising activities as well as initiate action on these activities. These recommendations are important in expanding corporate partnerships as well as in increasing the funds raised from the private business sector. (c) Describe the most damaging error(s) that could be made in the work and the consequences they would have. Ineffective coordination and inaccurate information may result in loss of the organization s credibility and unsuccessful co-ordination/co-operation. FORM UNICEF 309 (1/2000) (Page 3 of 5)

INDEPENDENCE ( Describe the degree of direction or management guidance the post receives from the immediate supervisor, e.g., post acts under minimal supervision, exercises judgment, takes initiative, etc.) The incumbent will perform under overall supervision and guidance of the Chief of PFP. However, s/he is expected to act under minimal supervision for the day-to-day activities. S/he is to take initiative and exercise judgment in carrying out the responsibilities and refer to the supervisor on any action that may set a precedent. 7. University degree in Marketing, Economics, Communication, Fundraising or Business Administration; Sound and up-to-date knowledge of corporate partnership management b) WORK EXPERIENCE (Indicate the length and type of practical experience required at the national and, if so required, at the international level.) Five years of professional experience in the field of marketing, advertising, and public relations. Experience on brand management, account management and client relationship management, cause-related marketing and corporate social responsibility involvement highly desirable. c) LANGUAGES (Indicate the languages required and desirable.)
