6 Riverlake Shipping is a shipbroking and marine services company that provides fully integrated shipping solutions from Geneva and London. Riverlake Shipping has steadily diversified its business to provide its clients with a meticulous, complete, global shipping service. This includes chartering, operations, demurrage & claims, sale & purchase and Business Intelligence in the wet and dry markets.

Our dedicated brokers based in Geneva monitor all wet cargoes covering all spectrums of the market, while London focuses on the dry market working closely with traders/mine owners and owners/operators. This covers spot voyages, time charters and contracts of affreightment. Direct access to major oil and dry companies, large traders, significant owners as well as smaller entities and pool operators has ensured our position within the industry as a leader in chartering solutions. Demurrage & Claims In response to our client s needs, we have established a structure that collates all types of charter party demurrage claims, as well as commodities sale and purchase contract demurrage claims and provides a value added service for oil companies, traders and ship owners. Riverlake demurrage analysts have extensive experience in maritime claims under contracts of affreightment, voyage and time charter parties which allow offering a completely independent service on behalf of our clients for the estimation, analysis, negotiation and collection of funds. Riverlake is well known in the industry as being one of the pioneers in offering services for the handling of demurrage claims. Our goal is to have any demurrage claim handled, negotiated and closed within maximum 3 months from receipt of the claim and this is rigorously pursued and controlled. Sale & purchase We offer extensive market intelligence in discussing opportunities and market trends with ship owners, report on sales, value vessels, calculate freight earnings, advise on finance and try to find ships for specific employment opportunities. Riverlake s sale and purchase department is built up of experienced specialists, whose main purpose is strategic buying and selling. We also help to plan the delivery of vessels for scrapping. Riverlake has established and maintains strong relationships with banks and ship-financing institutions.

The Research & Consulting department is built upon more than 30 years of extensive knowledge and experience of the global shipping markets. Our well known Riverlake Tanker Index (R.T.I) is viewed as being a sector benchmark. Providing daily rates on key routes, and published daily on BLOOMBERG PROFESSIONAL and REUTERS and also weekly in Tradewinds, it is a tool that is tailored for professionals in the maritime industry, the financial services, media and corporate markets. Operations Our operations department is manned by skilled and highly motivated staff with years of experience who are committed to providing customers with premium services and are ready to respond to any kind of situation ranging from normal post-fixture operations to emergency response. 10 Riverlake Barging Riverlake Barging is a marine services company specialising in inland barge brokerage. Riverlake Barging was established in We specialize in inland barge brokerage. Based in Rotterdam, our main activity is to provide full shipbroker services on the marine transportation of liquid bulk products on inland waterways. We focus on bulk transportation of all liquid products; mineral oils, chemicals, bio-fuels, edible oils and gas. Our main geographical focus is on all European inland waterways (incl. the rivers Rhine, Elbe, Danube, Seine, Rhone and the European canals) and beyond. Besides brokering spot cargoes, time charters and contracts of affreightment we use our existing network to develop a strong Sale and Purchase presence.
