1 VCP DECATHLON (145943) France Merrell Requirements Revision #: GENERAL REQUIREMENTS Please refer to the WWW specification sheet(s) for footwear construction and labeling information. Vendors must purchase all shoe boxes, hang tags and other packing materials from suppliers authorized by WWW. All supplier contact information will be provided to the vendor by Wolverine Global Operations. 1.1 Packaging: refer to page 6 & 7 for examples of visual images required for approval: (i) (ii) (iii) Image of a pair of shoes, per style, linked together and demonstrating hangtag. Contents of each different size cartons so we can demonstrate to our customer they have been packed efficiently and do not contain filling materials. Image of external carton per PO - full carton needs to be visible so we can see H opening and label position. 2. UPC/SKU/PRICE LABELS 2.1 SHOE LABELS: - Customer hangtag with pre-printed barcode (10CM x 5CM) must be applied to the right shoe with a plastic link. - Each pair of shoes must be linked together by a plastic link attached through the 1 st eyelet of each shoe. - Hang tag supplied by Merrell customer services. - Plastic link supplied by factory. 2 2.2 SHOES: - The 2 shoes must be linked by a plastic link at the 2 nd eyelet (from top of the stem). - Plastic link measurement approximately 22cm and supplied by factory. - Pack 1 pair of shoes into a transparent plastic polybag closed at the top by hand (Merrell shoe box not required) see Figure A below. - No customer labels required on the polybags. - Please remove all Merrell hang tags and leaflets e.g. Q-Form leaflets / Vibram / Gore-Tex hang tags / Aegis hang tags. Figure A: example of packaging for 1 pair of shoes in plastic bag. 2.3 SHOE BOX LABELS Shoe boxes and WWW shoe box labels are not required. 3. CARTON LABELS 3.1 CUSTOMER LABEL AND PACKING REQUIREMENTS - DO NOT INCLUDE ANY STUFFING/FILLING MATERIALS IN THE CARTONS. - Please apply WWW carton labels (LPN s) as shown in document VCP section Decathlon specific carton label is required on each carton see Figure B below. - Merrell customer services will provide carton label data in an excel document. - Factory to produce customer carton labels using excel document. - Carton labels are size specific. Factory must refer to each tab of excel document and ensure the correct label is applied to each carton. The EUR SIZE must match carton contents. - Label positioning: customer carton label must be stuck on lower flap at carton H opening, as per visual images see Figures C & D below. 5 3.2 CARTON H OPENING: Cartons must have an H opening. Inner carton flaps must be cut down for all solid cartons as indicated by the arrow in the picture below: Correct Internal carton flaps Incorrect Internal carton flaps 3.3 CARTON QUALITY: Please use stronger corrugated box with stacking and crush resistance see specification below (with minimum resistance of 30kg/m2): - Maximum carton weight: 20kg. - Carton sizes below specified by Decathlon varies by style: 600 X X cm (L*W*H) 600 X 200 X cm (L*W*H) - Pack 1 style and 1 size per carton. - The number of shoes in each carton is specified by Decathlon (refer to SAP PO). - No stuffing material inside cartons. - Cartons must be closed with the opening on the side (in an H shape) as images on page4. - Cartons must be sealed with an adhesive security tape (Do not use staples in cartons).
