AKW Apparate + Verfahren GmbH is a medium-sized, privately owned company focussed on process engineering and equipment as well as on plant engineering, construction and service. Since the foundation of AKW A+V GmbH in 1963 innovations, new product ideas and technologies have turned the company into a global operating enterprise with offices in Kiel, Moscow, Shanghai, São Paulo, Dubai, the headquarters in Hirschau (Bavaria) and agencies in many other countries. 5 Technical laboratory and trials In our technical center and laboratory we offer a wide array of analysis and tests for the development of processes ideal adapted to your requirements and for the exact definition of material and procedure specifications. For the technical and academic support we work closely together with universities and research facilities. Based on the client s requirements, the parameters and analytical evaluations as well as on trial reports we choose and draft the ideal process closely together with the clients. 6 BASIC ENGINEERING While a preliminary plan is created during the concept phase, a conclusive master planning with closed documentation emerges in the basic engineering phase. Interactions of various system components, detailed method descriptions, thermodynamic calculations and basic dimensioning of the processes will be created and optimized during the process development. 7 DETAILED ENGINEERING CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT Aim of the Detailed Engineering is the planning record and an exact scheduling and account costing for the phase of the project realization. Beside the 3D planning the process engineering in this phase defines among others detail dimensioning for facility parts, components and detailed plans. We also lend you our entire support during the assembly and the start-up and, of course, ensure you a troublefree and undisturbed execution. Engineers on-site make sure that during that phase the facility at start-up supplies the defined parameters.
