A fairway with a draught of 15.3 metres enables the access of the largest ocean-going vessels to the port, and scheduled frequent liner services to the key ports in the Baltic Sea region and elsewhere in Europe open connections to all parts of the world. The location of HaminaKotka in the immediate vicinity of the border between the EU and Russia, an identical track gauge with Russia and the CIS countries and the E18 motorway create well-functioning connections for logistics between land and sea transport.
