GPS Guidance/ Edge Guidance : - A comprehensive range of Guidance options are available for the New Holland Range of combines. From entry level Manual Lightbar Guidance right through to Integrated IntelliSteer (as well as how to retro fit), all is explained clearly and concisely within this section. Also included is information on the NH SmartSteer System, along with detail on what is required to retro-fit. 2. Yield Monitoring and Yield Mapping: - A wide range of Yield Monitoring and Yield Mapping options are available for CSX, CX and CR Series Combines (Exception: Not on CSX7040). Please look to this section for an explanation of what is provided under the option codes within the pricelist. The section includes notes on how to assist your customers with Yield Monitoring Only, where the Support Below is NOT provided. 3. A) Yield Mapping Support : - New Holland PLM Software Support Today, with each combine sold with PFS Software/Support package, Ian Beecher Jones at New Holland Software Support will be providing the Customer Software Support. This package installs confidence in the customer from the outset. Please look to this section for information on what is provided and how the system works. If the Mapping Package is purchased as a DIA, then this support package MUST also be purchased 3. B) Yield Monitoring Support New Process: - Where a combine is sold with Yield and Moisture Monitoring, either new or Retro Fitted, the support for getting the customer started needs to be provided by the dealer. This section provides information and links to training videos on how to achieve this. 4. OmniSTAR Correction Signals: - For Guidance Solutions on New Holland Combines, the OmniSTAR XP or HP signals are recommended. This section explains pricing and processes to get a signal for your customers. The section also contains information on how to obtain the OmniSTAR ID on each receiver and how to configure the system to receive a signal. 5. Precision Farming Software - PFS: - From the 1 st September 2010 PFS Software/Support will be ESO option for CX & CR combines with Yield and Moisture Mapping/Monitoring options. The PFS Software and Support is a combined option which MUST be added when the customer wants a New Holland PFS Software/Support package. All CSX Combines with Yield Mapping are also supplied with the software.

USB Stick Part Number: USB Flash Drive 1 GB compatible with EZ-Guide - for firmware upgrade/to export data Assisted Guidance EZ-Steer: EU Homologation Ruling: Within the EU, a Combine Harvester is NOT classed as an Agricultural Tractor under homologation ruling. This means that where the perimeter of the steering wheel can be obstructed when an Agricultural Tractor is off the Public Highway, and needs to be free from obstruction when on the Public Highway, with a Combine Harvester this is not the case. With a Combine Harvester, EU Homologation ruling is identical for both On/Off the Public Highway and for this reason, we cannot promote the use of EZ-Steer on Combine Harvesters. This explanation is aimed at providing information to you that you can use in front of a customer.

6 Integrated Guidance IntelliSteer (CX/CR Combines) To Order: 1) Order CX/CR (AGR) IntelliSteer from Pricelist 2) Display All CX and CR Combines are now fitted with IntelliView III. This allows curved Guidance as well as Boundary Creation and Field Swath Mode. Field Swath Mode allows the headlands to be combined using IntelliSteer and then the land work to be combined as either straight line A-B or Curved. Where mapping is fitted, the combine will automatically adjust the header width when overlapping onto crop already cut, therefore increasing the accuracy of the mapping data. 3) With an IntelliSteer combine from the factory, the Navigation Controller II and NH262 (at Level 2 OmniSTAR Ready) will be supplied. N.B. If your customer has a NH IntelliSteer Tractor and is wanting to utilise the Navigation Controller II and NH262/NH252 from this, then please speak to Nigel Honeyman/Keith Mitchell re. ordering a NH IntelliSteer READY Combine, without these two parts. 4) Correction Signal For all Combine Applications, the recommended correction signal is OmniSTAR XP (For Farm Subscriptions 50km radius of farm) or HP (For Regional Subscriptions for whole of UK) Please See Pricing and Ordering Details/Form in Section 4: Retro Fitting of IntelliSteer If your customer is wanting to retro-fit IntelliSteer to a NH Combine, this is relatively straight forward. IntelliSteer can be fitted to ALL CX8000/CR9000 Series Combines with IntelliView II and III Monitors. The Older InfoView Monitor WILL NOT support IntelliSteer (I.e. CX800/CR900 Series Combines) In this instance a Trimble Autopilot kit can be used to fit Integrated Guidance. There are two possible starting positions for fitting IntelliSteer to a CX8000/CR9000 Combine: 1) Combines with SmartSteer: As these combines already have an AGR Rear Axle, little re-work is required. From the DIA List you need to order the following parts: : DGPS Guidance Mounting Kit Brackets and wiring to convert to DGPS Steering Control : NH262 Antenna Unlocked to OmniSTAR Level (Can work on OmniSTAR XP/HP and EGNOS) : Navigation Controller II : IntelliSteer (V25) for IntelliView III Operators Manual

7 2) Combines without SmartSteer: No AGR Rear Axle. More re-work is required as the rear axle needs to be converted to AGR. From the DIA List you need to order the following parts: : Auto-Guidance Ready Rear Axle Re-Build : DGPS Guidance Mounting Kit Brackets and wiring to convert to DGPS Steering Control : NH262 Antenna Unlocked to OmniSTAR Level (Can work on OmniSTAR XP/HP and EGNOS) : Navigation Controller II : IntelliSteer (V25) for IntelliView III Operators Manual N.B. Non Auto Guidance Ready combines do not have the AGR CCM3 cable loom installed, they are missing 4 connectors (Dependent on Model and Build Code of Combine): AGR CCM3 cable loom*: CX80 :BSN C559: CX80: ASN D660: CR90: BSN C559 : CR90: BSN F : CR90: ASN D627 : CR90 elevation BSN C626 : CR90 elevation ASN D627 : * To ensure latest part number information a final check should be made using the parts catalogue. Retro Fitting of Auto Guidance to CX800/CR900 and Competitive Combines If your customer is wanting to retro-fit Integrated Auto-guidance to a older NH Combine or a competitive machine, you are able to fit a Trimble Autopilot Kit. This will control the combines steering hydraulically, (Identical method to IntelliSteer). Please contact Dan Stuart for Platform Kit Information.

8 Edge Guidance CX/CR Combines - SmartSteer This can obviously be supplied with the combine from new, directly from the pricelist. The SmartSteer Eye sits on the left hand side of the cab below the top lighting. It is located out of the dust, in a position where it does not get tangled with hedgerows! The sensor can be moved Left and Right from the cab seat and will work on both the Left and Right Hand sides of the header table, allowing Edge Guidance when the operator is Strip cutting the field. Retro Fitting of SmartSteer SmartSteer can be Retro Fitted to ALL CX/CR Combines (CX800/CR900/CX8000/CR9000). The NH Precision Farming Software (PFS) + Support can also be used if the customer has no Yield Monitoring Software on his Desktop PC, the Part Number for this software is below : PFS Basic Software : PLM Software Support 2) Yield Mapping: This allows data on Yield Flow to be relayed to a second Monitor on a Field/Task Level, as the combine travels across the field. This data can be taken and put into any RDS Compatible PC Software Program (Many customers with this size of combine will be already using RDS Compatible Desktop Software). The NH Precision Farming Software (PFS) is provided within this package and can be used if the customer is not already using a Desktop Software Package. With this package, Yield Maps can be created providing the customer with a Key Management Tool. CX 5000 and 6000 Combines With all CX 5000 and 6000 Series Combines, Yield Monitoring and Yield Mapping can be fitted. An option in the pricelist is set up to allow the fitting of this equipment. 1) Yield Monitoring: This allows data on Yield Flow to be relayed to the IntelliView III Monitor on a Field/Task Level. 2) Yield Mapping: This allows data on Yield Flow to be relayed to the IntelliView III Monitor on a Field/Task Level, as the combine travels across the field. Within the pricelist, the Yield Mapping Package also includes Software Support from Ian Beecher Jones our Partner and customer, see the next section for more information on how this support is implemented. Retro Fitting Yield Monitoring or Yield Mapping to CX 5000 and 6000 Combines 1) Retro Fitting Yield Monitoring: To fit Yield and moisture monitoring to these combines, the following DIA part numbers will be required: : Yield Monitor Pack : Moisture Sensor : PFS Basic Software : PLM Software Support 2) Retro Fitting Yield Mapping: To fit yield mapping, the above is required if not already fitted, along with the following DIA Part Number: : NH062 Receiver : PFS Basic Software : PLM Software Support

10 CX and CR Series Combines N.B. Combines with IntelliSteer, by default have Yield Mapping (As long as Yield Monitoring is fitted!) The NH252/NH262 Receiver provides a GPS Position for the GPS Ready IntelliView II or III Screen. With all CX/CR Series Combines, Yield Monitoring and Yield Mapping can be fitted. On CX8080/CX8090/All CR Combines, Yield Monitoring is fitted as standard, on the smaller CX Combines, an option in the pricelist is set up to allow the fitting of this equipment. 1) Yield Monitoring: This allows data on Yield Flow to be relayed to the IntelliView III Monitor on a Field/Task Level. 2) Yield Mapping: This allows data on Yield Flow to be relayed to the IntelliView III Monitor on a Field/Task Level, as the combine travels across the field. Within the pricelist, the Yield Mapping Package also includes Software Support from Ian Beecher Jones at New Holland Software Support our Partner and customer, see the next section for more information on how this support is implemented. Retro Fitting Yield Monitoring or Yield Mapping to CX/CR Combines 1) Retro Fitting Yield Monitoring: CX8000/CR9000: To fit Yield and moisture monitoring to these combines, the following DIA part numbers will be required (note choice of Moisture Sensor): : Yield Monitor Pack All CX8000/CR9000 Combines : Moisture Sensor All CX8000 and All CR9000 EXCEPT CR9090 (see below) : Moisture Sensor for CR : PFS Basic Software : PLM Software Support 2) Retro Fitting Yield Mapping: CX8000/CR9000: To fit yield mapping, the above is required if not already fitted, along with the following DIA Part Number (If the combine is retro fitted with IntelliSteer, then an antenna is not needed as the NH262 can be utilised): : NH162 Receiver for All CX8000/CR9000 Combines (Except CR9090) : NH162 Receiver for CR : PFS Basic Software : PLM Software Support 3) Retro Fitting Yield Monitoring: CX800/CR900: To fit yield and moisture monitoring to these combines with the NH InfoView Monitor (LCD Display on the cab pillar) the following DIA Part Numbers are required: : Yield Monitor Pack All CX800/CR900 Combines : Moisture Sensor All CX800 and All CR : PFS Basic Software + PLM Software Support 4) Retro Fitting Yield Mapping: CX800/CR900: To fit yield mapping to combines with the InfoView Monitor (LCD Display on the cab pillar), the above is required if not already fitted, along with the following DIA Part Numbers: : Data Logger for Mapping : PCMCIA Data Card (For transfer of data to desktop PC) : PFS Basic Software + PLM Software Support Then there are 2 options with CX800/CR900 Combines: : If the combine has a grain tank connector (seen by look directly down from the GPS receiver mounting bracket. Where the top section of grain tank pivots there is a sheet metal fold for the lower section of tank, here you will find a 4 pin connector with a blanking cap fitted. The kit includes an AG110 Antenna and wiring. OR: (If the above connector is not seen) : Ag110 Antenna with long leads dealer needs to make own CAN connection in the cab roof use if no connector in the grain tank. In addition Farm, Field, Load Software will need to be loaded from EST onto the monitor.

11 Using EZ-Guide 500 with IntelliView II and III For Yield Mapping As both IntelliView II and III Screens are GPS Ready, if the combine is already Yield and Moisture Monitoring (the customer should have the PFS Desktop Software), and the customer has an EZ-Guide 500, he can purchase the following to utilise his existing hardware and successful go Yield Mapping that is use the EZ-Guide to obtain the GPS Position of the combine: : EZ-Guide 500 to IntelliView II/III Link cable : PFS Basic Software : PLM Software Support

A) Yield Mapping Support New Holland PLM Software Support New Holland PLM Software Support Contact Number: Ian Beecher-Jones Mobile: Where a S2010 combine is ordered with Yield Mapping Fitted, if the PFS Software is also purchased, the customer has also purchased a Support Package from New Holland as part of the deal. (Due to customers wishing to use other software etc. The PFS Software is now NOT standard on a Yield Monitoring combine. When ordered though whole goods though your pricelist the PFS Software + Support now comes as 1 bundle. If retro fitted, DIA Part Number: (basic mapping software) and (38 support points) must be ordered. The support package provides the customer with the support he/she needs in order to get the PFS Desktop Software set up prior to Harvest, as well as training on the software post harvest. It is important to note that the Combine end is still, obviously, the Dealers Responsibility. The way it is administered is as followed: Each customer has 38 Support Points to be used within 2 years of sale. 1 Support Point equates to 1 hour of classroom training or 10 minutes of individual telephone/internet Support. New for S2012 PFS software support will cover support for New Holland PFS software (as always) but will also be able to cover Gatekeeper and Farmworks. Process: 1) When a new combine is ordered with PFS Software and New Holland Software Support (or likewise, the above DIA number is ordered) an is sent from the manufacturing plant to the New Holland Software Support, NHUK PLM Specialist as well as the Dealer who has sold the combine/support Package. A copy of this is also placed in the combine if this is a new order. 2) This starts a process where Ian Beecher-Jones contacts the Dealer and Customer in order to prepare them for the forthcoming season. His help is given via telephone and the Internet so that the customer can install and register his Precision Farming Software (PFS) as well as construct his management tree before exporting this to a USB memory stick ready for the forthcoming harvest. Ian will assist the customer with logging-on and registering on the PLM Portal ( which is a website dedicated to our PLM Customers and Dealers. From season 2010, customers will register their PFS Desktop Software on the PLM Portal. Please feel free to log in and register yourselves. 3). Following harvest an 8 hour training day is given by Ian in order to display to the customer, with their own Yield Data, what the PFS Package is capable of. The customer can register for the training on the PLM Portal. Customers can purchase a further 19 Points if required. For this use the following DIA Part Number: : PLM Key Providing an Additional 19 Support Points to customers requiring more support.

13 3. B) Yield Monitoring Support New Process! Where a combine is sold with Yield and Moisture Monitoring, and the PFS Software is also purchased, the PLM Software Support is also now purchased. Therefore our support team now support ALL CUSTOMERS who have the NH PFS Desktop Software. Process: 1) When a new combine is ordered with PFS Software and New Holland Software Support (or likewise, the above DIA number is ordered) an is sent from the manufacturing plant to the New Holland Software Support, NHUK PLM Specialist as well as the Dealer who has sold the combine/support Package. At the Combine Operator Training, Customers using the PFS software will also receive flash files displaying how to Create and Export the Management Tree from the PFS Software, and you can find training material on the PLM Portal ( to assist these customers in the build up to harvest. 14 4. OmniSTAR Correction Signal Options and Processes DGPS What is Correction? Raw GPS gives us an accuracy on planet earth of +/- 5m. In order to use GPS in Agricultural applications we need to add a Differential Correction. We then call this DGPS. DGPS in the world of New Holland is available at 3 different levels EGNOS, OmniSTAR and RTK. Below, each of these will be explained along with applications for their use, as well as processes on how to get such correction. DGPS Level 1 EGNOS EGNOS stands for European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service. This is a free level of correction available to all. This gives a Pass-to-Pass accuracy of +/ cm. EGNOS is ideal for applications such as Pre-Emergent Fertilising/Spraying, Grassland Work, and light cultivations. Manual, Assisted and Auto Guidance can all be used with EGNOS. When yield mapping on combines, an EGNOS level of correction is also ideal. DGPS Level 2 OmniSTAR XP/HP OmniSTAR Sales: Telephone: info@omnistar.nl Website: What is OmniSTAR? An OmniSTAR Correction signal is required for applications where Guidance is being used for Combining, Arable Drilling, Precision Cultivating etc. This service is supplied by Netherlands based OmniSTAR (See website details above). Accuracy for an OmniSTAR XP Signal is 7-12cm Pass-to-Pass, and 30cm absolute. Accuracy for an OmniSTAR HP Signal is 5-10cm Pass-to-Pass, and 30cm absolute. Which OmniSTAR Signal does my customer require? In the past, OmniSTAR XP Farm has been the licence that your customers required (as long as they were not travelling more than 50km from their base Postcode if travelling further then a Regional HP Signal would be required)) for both combines and arable drilling operations. Today this can now be ORDERED IN 1 MONTH INCREMENTS, there is NO LONGER a minimum of 3 months subscription required. The Flex-Farm Option has now been removed from the OmniSTAR offering. Ordering Procedure 1) Ascertain which signal your customer requires and fill out the Fax Subscription form (see further on in this section). 2) Fill out the OmniSTAR order form or visit the PLM Portal ( under the My Business tab for this you will require the OmniSTAR ID (on the form, written as Serial Number ) of the NH252 (older) or NH262 Receiver. 15 a) If using an older NH252 (Blue New Holland Text on the side of the receiver, then this number can be obtained from the left hand side of the recess on the receiver - where the ports are located. The number will start 0225 followed by a sequence of digits. This is the OmniSTAR ID b) If using a newer NH262 receiver (New Holland Agriculture Logo Decal on the side of the receiver) then you need to get this information from the IntelliView Screen. Please follow these simple instructions: On the IntelliView II/Plus II/III Monitor Go to Home Diagnostics GPS Scroll Down on this screen the Screen Extension will only display one message window. OmniSTAR ID is displayed this is the number you require. 3) Complete the Fax order form and send to OmniSTAR. On the form you will be asked when you would like the receiver activating. In order to Download the Library from the satellite, the receiver WILL NEED TO BE POWERED (Ignition on) when the signal is sent. Please make sure that when the signal is sent, the Receiver is Powered and is in CLEAR OPEN SPACE. 4) After the signal is sent, you can Navigate on the IntelliView Monitor: Go to Home Diagnostics GPS and in the bottom left hand corner you can see the XP/HP. Expiry Date. This should obviously change when the signal has been received. 5) Any problems re. signal sending/receiving, please speak with OmniSTAR Direct. The Technicians are very helpful and speak excellent English. Please be confident about this process. 6) Please note, after this signal has been sent, a Roll calibration will need to be undertaken. Please speak with your technicians regarding this. They will be well aware of the need to carry out this calibration procedure, AFTER you have an OmniSTAR Subscription. 1. 17 DGPS Level 3 - Virtual Reference Station (VRS) What is VRS? RTK VRS is a correction signal delivered to the tractor or combine by using the GPRS mobile phone network. The actual data exchange is done by a SIM card & GPRS modem mounted in the vehicle cab. The correction data comes from a central Trimble VRS Now TM server which is continually monitoring and analysing data from 115 RTK Base stations spread across the UK and 22 in Ireland. New Holland utilise the GPRS mobile phone network and the Trimble VRS Now TM data to deliver 2.5cm RTK accuracy to any UK customer provided they have mobile phone coverage where they are operating.
