Major successes include: A more transparent industry following the release of three significant reports on non-transparent business practices in media, production, and programmatic Launch of the ANA Data Analytics Center to advance the art and science of data management Deployment of Gender Equity Metrics by the ANA s Alliance for Family Entertainment, fueled by the highly acclaimed #SeeHer initiative, created to accurately portray all women and girls in media by 2020 Actionable recommendations that advertisers can immediately implement to reduce digital ad fraud Development of standards to help mitigate ad blocking Formation of the Alliance for Inclusive and Multicultural Marketing to assist brands in strategically incorporating inclusion in the total market strategy Creation of Ad-ID to help improve advertising workflow across media platforms Public Policy Efforts Our Washington, D.C., team provides a rigorous legislative and regulatory defense of marketers on the national and state levels. Thanks to comprehensive lobbying, the new tax reform bill passed by Congress does not restrict advertising deductions, saving marketers $25 35 billion annually. They also work tirelessly to educate policymakers about the important benefits our industry brings to the economy as a whole. The team provides the advertising community with a voice before Congress, state legislatures, federal regulatory agencies, and the courts.
