2 IBM Internet f Things (IT) Platfrm service lets yur apps cmmunicate with and cnsume data cllected by yur cnnected devices, sensrs, and gateways. IBM IT Platfrm fr Bluemix gives yu a versatile tlkit that includes gateway devices, device management, and pwerful applicatin access. Super easy t get devices cnnected t IBM Internet f Things clud. IBM prvides a set f verified instructins, r 'recipes', fr cnnecting devices, sensrs and gateways frm a variety f partners and individuals. Apps can use IBM real-time and REST APIs t cmmunicate with yur devices and cnsume the data yu've set them up t cllect. Cmmunicatins between yur devices and the clud happen via the pen, lightweight MQTT prtcl. Cnsumptin f unstructured data. Watsn's artificial intelligence is used t parse the data btained frm the transactins between the devices. Advance analytics f aggregated data. Data mre meaningful, device mre impactful. 4 IBM IT Platfrm Features: The IBM Watsn IT Platfrm is built n the fllwing key areas. Cnnect Cnnecting devices, creating applicatins, cntrlling yur devices, and interacting with third-party services are all available under Watsn IT Platfrm Cnnect. Infrmatin Management Watsn IT Platfrm Infrmatin Management cntrls the data that is sent by devices after it reaches yur Watsn IT Platfrm service. Infrmatin management includes data strage and transfrmatin. Analytics Dashbard cards mnitr and display device data in real-time, which allws yu t keep track f key devices r device data. These visualizatins are displayed n the main Watsn IT Platfrm dashbard t give yu rapid access t the cntext and status f real-time device data. Risk Management The architecture f the Watsn IT Platfrm is designed t prevent devices frm impersnating ther devices, which maintains the integrity f yur device data. Devices cnnect t the Watsn IT Platfrm by using a cmbinatin f a client ID and authenticatin tken, which nly yu knw. 4

8 Nde-RED Nde-RED is a visual tl that yu can use t develp yur applicatins, devices, and gateways n IBM Watsn IT Platfrm. Nde-RED prvides capabilities fr cnnecting hardware devices, APIs, and nline services in new and interesting ways. Nde-RED is built n tp f Nde.js and takes advantage f the huge nde mdule ecsystem t prvide a tl that can integrate many different systems. By using a Nde-RED flw, Bluemix IT app can prcess messages frm the sensr and feed t sme ther applicatin. Data can be visualized thrugh available applicatins, r by wn app created fr this purpse Thrugh API service can be extended 8

9 API Cnnect IBM API Cnnect is an API management slutin that addresses critical aspects f the API lifecycle fr bth n-premises and clud envirnments prviding the capability t create, run, manage and secure APIs and micrservices. Cntext Mapping is a high perfrmance, rad netwrk data access service, with an in-memry map data cache that has a unique index structure. Develpers can retrieve the analysis results by REST API and use them in Bluemix applicatins. Cnfigurability.
