Identifies tls and prcesses fr managing prjects using bth Waterfall and Agile methdlgies. Prerequisite Curses: N prerequisite curse(s). Curse Overview Prject management is a balancing act requiring the utmst f thse wh prfess t be practitiners. Prject managers are equal parts leader, psychlgist, financial managers, prblem slvers, negtiatrs, subject matter experts, and administratrs, smetimes having t emply each f thse traits and skills at the same time t get things dne. This curse has been designed t prvide yu with a taste f tw f the mst prminent methdlgies emplyed tday fr managing prjects, Waterfall, and Agile. Despite thse wh wuld state therwise, there are similarities t bth methdlgies fr thse wh truly knw hw t make either system wrk crrectly, and f curse there are many differences. Thrughut this curse yu will be given the pprtunity t develp yur wn prject plan as if yu were the prject manager f yur wn prject and team. If yu have years f prject management experience then hpefully this curse will help yu t refine thse hard fught fr skills. If yu have little t n experience then the cntent and resurces prvided herein will help guide yu alng the path. In the first fur weeks f the curse yu will research and wrk t understand hw the Waterfall methdlgy f prject management flws, what the "Triple Cnstraint" is and hw t wrk with stakehlders and team members effectively thrugh use and deplyment f cntrl dcuments and cmmunicatin plans. In the last fur weeks f the curse, yu will research and wrk t understand the umbrella f Agile methdlgies such as Scrum, XP, and Kanban. Yu will research and submit assignments n the similarities and differences between prduct wners, prject managers, and Scrum Masters. Yu will als be given the pprtunity t partner with ther members f yur class t develp yur wn Agile prduct as part f yur final submissin. Estimates vary and change year t year, but accrding t ne surce there are between 11.5 and 16.5 millin prject managers thrughut the wrld (Garrett, 2017).
