4 CONNECT Connect TM is a web-based platform where all project data and documents are stored, shared and accessible online, with 24-hour access by Macomb County. This allows Macomb County to track the progress of the project in real-time, ensures that all parties are working off of the current documents (reducing the risk of errors), and minimizes communication costs and delays. Old County Building Requests for Information: Three hundred seventy-three (373) RFIs have been issued to date for the project with eight (8) RFIs remaining open. Submittals: Two hundred ninety-one (291) submittal packages are currently in the system with one (1) submittal package remaining open. Requests for Information: One hundred fifty (150) RFIs have been issued to date for the project with three (3) RFIs remaining open. Submittals: Sixty-two (62) submittal packages are currently in the system with one (1) submittal package remaining open. Existing Structure Demolition Requests for Information: Seven (7) RFIs have been issued to date for the project with zero (0) RFIs remaining open. Submittals: One (1) submittal package is currently in the system with zero (0) submittal packages remaining open. Requests for Information: Fifty-seven (57) RFIs have been issued to date for the project with three (3) RFIs remaining open. Submittals: Seventy-one (71) submittal packages are currently in the system with one (1) submittal package remaining open. Circuit Court Requests for Information: Ninety-six (96) RFIs have been issued to date for the project with thirty-one (31) RFIs remaining open. Submittals: One hundred ten (110) submittal packages are currently in the system with six (6) submittal packages remaining open. CRITIQUE Critique TM is an experience-based tool that enables our project team to drastically reduce, if not eliminate, errors, omissions and risky elements of design before a project starts. It is deliverable based on years of systematic tracking from lessons learned on similar projects. Benefits include: reduction in owner change orders, efficient and smooth construction process as issues are caught in the planning phase, and reduction in warranty issues. 5 CLARITY Clarity TM is a Building Information Modeling (BIM) review process that enables Clark Construction Company to ensure, before construction starts, that MEP trade contractors will install their systems without interfering with each other. This results in a reduced number of Owner change orders, minimizes schedule delays as clashes are detected prior to mobilizing to complete the work, and overall smoother construction flow. BIM coordination sign-off is complete for the Old County Building. The final BIM model will be included in the closeout documents for the project. It was agreed to do drawing coordination in lieu of BIM on the Administration, Circuit Court, Talmer and Clemens Buildings as a Value Engineering item; this provided savings in both cost and schedule. This was accepted on all occupied buildings where construction was performed per floor. After demolition was completed a full scan of the floor was required to initiate the BIM process adding a two-week delay to the schedule. There have been numerous clash detection meetings required to complete the BIM process. It was determined valuable to use at the Old County Building only. CLOSER Closer TM is a structured process agreed upon early between Macomb County, Clark Construction Company, Partners in Architecture and Wakely Associates and all Subcontractors, on closing out the project within thirty (30) days of Substantial Completion. The result is prompt turnover and use of your new facility. Old County Building Closeout documents have been received with the exception of As-Builts, we have received all required Operations & Maintenance documents and Warranties Punch list items continue to be completed on all floors 4/5/6/9th floor Punch Lists issued to contractors and work nearly completed Closeout documents for 4/5/6/9 being collected Closeout logs have been issued and documents are being collected 12/05/2016 Make Macomb Your Home 5

6 Technology TECHNOLOGY Old County Building: Low Voltage Cabling is Installation of Network Equipment, Wireless Network equipment and VoIP Phones is Installation of Courtroom A/V (FTR) equipment is Installation of Conference Room A/V equipment is scheduled to be complete by 3/3/17. : Low Voltage Cabling installation is complete on Floors 4, 5, 6 and 9. Work is ongoing on Floor 7. Installation of Network Equipment, Wireless Network and VoIP Phones is complete on Floors 5, 6 and 9. Network Equipment and VoIP Phones installation is ongoing on Floor 5. : Low Voltage Cabling installation is nearly Equipment required for Network Equipment, Wireless Network and VoIP has been ordered and installation is expected to begin the week of 3/6/17. Circuit Court Building: Low Voltage Cabling demolition on the 6 th Floor is Surveillance System and Access Control System installation is DocketCall (digital courtroom docket display) installation is nearly One additional monitor is currently being installed in the Basement. Emergency Notification System installation is Surveillance System and Access Control System installation is complete on Floors 6 and 9. Programming and configuration of the systems is ongoing. BOC Auditorium Audio/Video installation is Surveillance System and Access Control System installation is ongoing and expected to be complete by the end of March.
