Watertruck + at a glance - Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) project - Establishing standards and a modular design for small barges and push boats, building of appr. 30 vessels - Forerunner in greening of the inland navigation fleet - Offering a long-term perspective and bridging the gap between European policy makers, the sector and institutional or strategic investors
Small inland ships in Europe Customized designs and great diversity, aging fleet Segmented market (family-owned) with limited investment capacity Old skippers and living on board is not attractive Mismatch between demand and offer Without a long-term alternative, there is a good to fair chance that IWT on Europe s 34,000 kilometers of small inland waterways will gradually disappear
Watertruck Standard design, multipurpose, plug-and-play customizations Create a commodity investment with reliable residual value Daytime sailing for short stretches, conventional lifestyle Towards new business models (cooperatives, leasing) Watertruck provides a long-term alternative for shippers, operators, skippers and investors to ensure that IWT remains or becomes economically viable

CEF Transport Blending 2017 call/ second cut-off date candidate Tipping the scale towards Bio-CNG for European Transport starts in TEN-T Core Urban Node Paris!

Background The European transport sector causes major negative effects on the health of the EU general population, the European environment, and the climate. The expectation of the European Commission is that between 2010 and 2050, heavy duty passenger transport will grow by 42% and heavy duty freight transport will grow by 60%. The implementation of readily available innovative techniques in the road transport sector provides a major opportunity to lower transport emissions. But the current available infrastructure, number of vehicles and the biomethane production are not sufficient for the switch to CNG.
Project Global project scope: 1. Realisation of multifuel infrastructure combining H 2, EV, (bio-)lng, (bio-)cng, N2 in the Urban Node of Paris. 2. Introduction of 1,000 CNG trucks 19T-44T in the Urban Node of Paris. 3. Realisation of 2 biomethane production plants Urban Node of Paris by Action scope: 1. Introduction of 330 CNG 19T-44T trucks in the Urban Node of Paris. 2. Realisation of first stage multifuel infrastructure: Eight (bio-)cng fuelling stations in the Urban Node of Paris.
