3 REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS LAUNDRY VENDOR INTRODUCTION A. Overview The Husing Department under the Office f Student Affairs at Cwley Cllege is issuing this Request fr Prpsal (RFP). The purpse f this ntice is t slicit bids by cmpanies wh have an interest in serving as the laundry vendr fr all campus residence halls. Cwley Cllege is c-educatinal cmmunity cllege with an n-campus enrllment f apprximately 1,000 students. The Office f Student Affairs at Cwley Cllege versees six drmitries with ccupancies ranging frm 65 students t 96 students with apprximately 500 students living in ur residence halls each year. Currently we pssess rughly 70 washer and dryers n campus. These machines reside in varius size buildings and thus are used with varying levels f frequency. The students that reside in ur residence buildings d nt have t pay t use the laundry facilities. Prfessinal staff members, called Drm Managers, reside in and versee the buildings in which ur machines reside. Under ur current structure, in the event that a machine is malfunctining, we have an nline system wherein residents, student staff, and Drm Managers can fill ut an nline maintenance request t make ur maintenance staff aware f the issue and t request that it be fixed. As an institutin we pride urselves n prviding exceptinal service t ur residents; fr this reasn, it is an expectatin that machines are tended t in a frequent and timely fashin. Cmpanies with demnstrated experience in prviding respnsive and well-maintained laundry services t institutins f higher educatin and/r similar type entities and wh have interest in making their services available t the Husing Department at Cwley Cllege are invited t respnd t this RFP. It is an expectatin that any vendr with whm the institutin wrks is apprpriately licensed and certified t prvide the required service. The Husing Department reserves the right, in its sle discretin, t amend, suspend, terminate, r reissue this RFP in whle r in part, at any stage. 3 B. Time f Cmpletin Cwley Cllege Husing Department must have a secured cmmitment f service prir t June 1, 2017.

4 C. Term f Cntract Any cntract awarded pursuant t this RFP slicitatin shall be fr a cntract perid up t 60 mnths, with the pssibility f an extensin, depending n vendr perfrmance. EVALUATION CRITERIA In evaluating respnses t this Request fr Prpsal, we will take int cnsideratin the fllwing criteria: Experience and Capacity What experience des the respndent have wrking with Cwley Cllege r ther institutins f higher educatin and in particular, residential cmmunities? Accessibility Where is the respndent lcated, hw easily can respndent have representatives n ur campus shuld an issue ccur? T what degree can the respndent prve their ability t be respnsive? Available Services Is the respndent able t prvide cutting edge services in the area f laundry vendr. This includes technlgy (including text alerts and nline availability), sustainability and verall perating capability. Cst Can the respndent prvide their services at a cst that is in alignment with the shrt and lng-term gals f ur institutin? 4 SUBMITTAL REQUIREMENTS RFP respnses must be submitted via scanned cpy sent t Cwley Cllege. Respndents shuld be ready t submit a hard cpy shuld they be invited t campus fr a presentatin. We reserve the right t seek additinal infrmatin t clarify respnses t this RFP. Each respnse must include the fllwing: Letter f Interest (must als include the fllwing infrmatin) Please submit a Cver Letter f Interest signed by a duly authrized fficer r representative f the respndent, nt t exceed tw pages in length. The principle place f business and the cntact persn, title, telephne/fax numbers and address. A summary f the qualificatins f the Respndent and team. Main Prpsal Years f experience and detailed qualificatins in perfrming the range f services that we require.

5 The types f services yu have available including which yu believe wuld best fit ur campus. Any and all technlgy and facility needs fr the instillatin f yur machines. A detailed descriptin f hw yu handle maintenance issues that ccur with yur machines. Pricing prpsal. This shuld include instillatin and any annual maintenance fees SELECTION PROCESS The Selectin Cmmittee, cmprised f the Executive Directr f Student Affairs, Directr f Husing, Maintenance and Grunds Supervisr and the Vice President f Finance and Administratin, will review qualificatins in accrdance with the evaluatin criteria set frth herein. Any cntract resulting frm this RFP will nt necessarily be awarded t the respndent with the lwest price. Instead, a cntract shall be awarded t a respndent whse prpsal best fits the ttality f needs fr the institutin.
