3 Purpose of Role The Marketing and will be responsible for developing and implementing Marketing and Communications plans to support the achievement of enrolment targets, positive engagement with the School community, protection and enhancement of the School s reputation and the generation of philanthropic support, in accordance with the strategic priorities for the School. The Marketing and will work in consultation with appropriate staff and stakeholders. The Marketing and is also responsible for managing Marketing and Communications staff, ensuring the effective and efficient operation of all Marketing and Communications activities in the department. Duties & Responsibilities In consultation with the Director of Community Engagement, devise and implement a Marketing and Communications strategy to support the School Charter and Carey Story Develop and implement Marketing and Communications operational plans to support the Marketing and Communications strategy Develop a Digital Strategy, including Social Media strategy as part of the broader Marketing and Communications plans Oversee development and maintenance of key communication platforms including public website and intranet Manage Communications and Marketing staff, including support of their professional development Prepare monthly reports for the Director of Community Engagement and Senior Management Team relating to Marketing and Communications data and analytics Develop policies for social media, privacy and image Monitor and report on analytics for online marketing Oversee enhancement and continuous update of website, including new design concepts and content Review, advise on and oversee the School s print publications and annual publications schedule Liaise with Marketing staff to produce and update print publications i.e. new prospectus, print calendar Liaise with media agents and outlets to develop an annual advertising schedule Liaise with media to promote good news stories and write media releases Liaise with external suppliers and consultants providing marketing and communications services for special projects Oversee content, posts and monitoring on Social Media Oversee media monitoring and provide a regular report on media presence, including social media Oversee development of content across all communication platforms, ensuring adherence to Brand Strategy Coordinate program for video marketing for website and social media, liaising with

4 developers and coordinating video projects Organise and supervise professional photography Oversee marketing projects and events Act as liaison for School sections and Community groups to ensure correct use of brand and messaging, including graphic design elements in all communications Advise on content for key promotional screens across the school Advise and make recommendations regarding process for purchase and sale of promotional merchandise Prepare and monitor advertising and publications budget to ensure appropriate expenditure Coordinate the promotion of and oversee School marketing events in liaison with the Admissions Manager and Director of Community Engagement Act as member of Carey Centenary organising committee, overseeing preparation and planning for Centenary events schedule and associated marketing and communications Coordinate/attend/be available for out-of-hours meetings or School events Undertake other duties relevant to the position as may be requested by the Director of Community Engagement Skills & Knowledge Tertiary qualifications in Marketing or a related discipline with a minimum of three years professional experience Demonstrated ability to devise and deliver marketing and communication campaigns to meet strategic goals and objectives Highly developed initiative and ability to think strategically Highly developed interpersonal skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to motivate others and act as a positive role model Strong customer service focus Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times Demonstrated organisational skills including self, resource and staff management Understanding and broad experience of digital technologies and their application Experience in producing and managing content and applying across a range of communication platforms Knowledge and experience with SEO and SEM strategy and digital marketing and analytics Knowledge and experience in Social Media Marketing strategy, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Linkedin Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite products Budget management Management experience Experience and awareness of Education market place desirable Leadership Competencies
