An implementation support and supervision mission was conducted in Benin from February 1 to 9, 2014. The overall project implementation is satisfactory: (i) rehabilitation of park infrastructures (viewing platforms and access road) is on track; (ii) the ecological monitoring is being performed once a year as planned; and (iii) the development of income generating activities is underway (a total of 66 microprojects have been selected for financing under the project and the beneficiaries have received first tranches of financing). A technical mission will be held early June to (i) follow up on the ecological monitoring to collect data and inform the project results framework; and (ii) follow up on the implementation of the income generating activities.
