13 Event Details The CIO Tomorrow 2019 Planning Committee Chair is Greg Tacchetti, SVP/Chief Information & Strategy Officer for State Auto Insurance. CIO Tomorrow 2019 will focus on three areas: Technology Innovation (Sub-Committee Chair: Ben Blanquera, VP Delivery & Experience, Columbus Collaboratory) We all have fun projects going on in our shops and want to learn more about what others are doing around Columbus. This area of focus will spotlight cool, innovative projects that are happening in our community. Creating a Pipeline of Technology Talent for Columbus (Committee Chair: Doug McCollough, CIO, City of Dublin) The unemployment rate for technology jobs in Columbus is less than 1%. We all know how rewarding a career in technology can be and the life-changing possibilities associated with having a great job. This area of focus is intended to contribute to the creation of an enduring legacy of new technology job development in Columbus. Full sub-committees, content and speakers for each topic area will be formed by the middle of November. We have one confirmed speaker from Google, who will discuss machine learning. Our plan is to have at least three keynote speakers; one for each of the focus areas and one overall keynote THEME: DRIVING BUSINESS VALUE THROUGH Innovation, Talent & Leadership Leadership and Talent Development (Sub-Committee Chair: Michael Babb, VP & CIO, Columbus State Community College) The Leadership and Talent development committee will focus on the important issue developing leaders of all stripes. You ve probably had the good fortune of working with a leader who made you want to be better, and you ve probably experienced the other side of poor leadership. We all know the significant, positive impact a good nurturing leader can make on an organization. This area of focus will provide CIO Tomorrow attendees with ideas on how to be better leaders.
