2 Seminar Objectives This event examines biodegradable and recyclable food and beverage packaging in Europe. A set of four half-day seminars will explore the state-of-the-art of the technology, give an overview of European research activities, present specific research projects and assess the effect of EU legislation on the adoption of eco-friendly packaging. These seminars are part of two wider EU projects working in this area of science. EcoPac ( and PackTech ( are both thematic networks that focus on different aspects of eco-friendly packaging. Profile of Potential Delegates The seminars are aimed at all those involved in the field of eco-friendly packaging: researchers, manufacturers and end users and anybody with interest in the topic. Seminar Language The seminar will be held in English and there will be simultaneously translation from English to Spanish and from Spanish to English.
