1 Prowess Applica on for Credit Evalua on, or PACE, is a solu on principally for credit officers in commercial banks to help them evaluate corporate credit proposals. It helps in the evalua on process by delivering detailed financial statements of the last 10 years in a standardized format to enable comparability of the financial data over me. Credit officers are able to see the trends in financial performance of their por olio companies. A very useful feature of PACE is that it facilitates easy and comprehensive comparison of the performance of a company with its peers and with the appropriate industry benchmarks. This is where the large database becomes useful to the bank. Banks can customize the service to their specific requirements. CMIE creates private custom-made reports for banks and also adds companies to suit the requirements of banks. The objec ve of the PACE service is to make the work of the credit officers easier by removing the tedium and adding the benefits of a readily available large database.

PACE delivers data on over 45,000 Indian companies. And, it provides an excep onal service to its customers. Data of ten years is presented in over 700 neatly laid-out tabula ons. PACE enables comparison of a company's performance with that of its peers and with the appropriate industry benchmarks. This is perhaps, the most powerful feature of PACE. PACE automa cally finds the appropriate peers and generates the appropriate benchmarks. PACE also provides scanned images of Annual Reports, charges on assets, interim financial results and Ra ng ra onales. The service element in PACE includes the following: 1. Crea on of private customised reports for each bank as per its requirements. CMIE works closely with individual banks to incorporate custom-made reports into the PACE delivery exclusively for the bank. This ensures full deployment of the service into the bank's opera ons. 2. Addi on of companies to suit the needs of individual credit officers in the bank. PACE offers an online facility wherein a subscribing official of the bank can make a request for the addi on of companies into PACE. This ensures that PACE is directly useful to bank officials. 3. Priority upda on of companies listed by the subscribing credit officers. Subscribing bank officials can request priority upda on of data for specified companies through an online interface.
