4 Business Portal & APIs Layer The Business Portals & APIs Layer provides customers with self care functionality. The Web Dashboard built-in capabilities offer key business data and services information, such as: Real-time network presence services provide real-time information regarding the Network Attach Status and Data Session PDP status for each endpoint. Instant network view available. Available for both LoRa and GSM. Current usage and billing information. Billing information presented for provisioned SIMs as well as aggregated information for the SIM fleet. Data alerting and capping available. Data usage available also for LoRa devices. Location based services. Location-based service offering that allows customers to query and instantly find the geographic location of any of their wireless devices on the Simfony Mobile network. Service is 100% network based. Rich configuration options. Configuration options include enabling or disabling Data or SMS services, APN credentials authentication and authorization, device-based locking as well as global operational service areas definition. LoRo rich configuration profiles radio configuration, security OTA&ABP, radio link statistics. Automatic Device Detection. Based on the unique International Mobile Equipment Identification number (IMEI) of the hardware module that the SIM is currently connected with, Simfony platform automatically detects the hardware model, manufacturer and radio bands that the module is operating on. 7 Network Interface Layer The Network Interface Layer manages real-time aspects of M2M devices. Some functions handled by the network layer: IoT APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT LAYER 5 Device Authentication and Authorization: realtime device authentication, service authorization and ongoing monitoring. Connectivity Management: most of M2M services require high-end service levels with capabilities for SIM self-diagnosis and troubleshooting. Query of different network elements is required to expose the real status of a device. SIM-Level Usage Monitoring: real-time usage information collected for monitoring SIM behavior patterns for minimizing improper usage of devices, implemented using standard protocols (E.g. Diameter Gy). Provisioning Module: M2M Device Provisioning component handles business process instructions to change device information in network elements by executing provisioning commands towards Simfony 3GPP Core Network functions (HLR, AAA, CCS). 9 Business Portal Capabilities 8 Network Presence Services For each SIM-enabled device, the Business Portal provides real-time information regarding the Network Attach Status and Data Session PDP status for each endpoint. Instant network view available for each SIMenabled device. Location Services Instant Location solution available to every device. Service is 100% network based and no extra software is needed. Uses Cell ID, ECID and Assisted GPS information to provide location information based on supported Mobile Networks worldwide. Automatic Device Detection Based on the unique International Mobile Equipment Identification number (IMEI) of the hardware module that your SIM is currently connected with, the platform automatically detects the hardware model, manufacturer and radio bands that the module is operating on. Rich Configuration Profiles Each SIM card can be easily configured via the web portal to satisfy each custom deployment requirements. Configuration options include enabling or disabling Data or SMS services, APN credentials authentication and authorisation, devicebased locking as well as global operational service areas definition. C O N F I D E N T I A L Data Caps and Usage Alerts Data Alerting and Data Capping are services provided by the Portal to help monitor and control data usage. If a SIM has reached 100% of its usage allowance an alert is sent to the customer stating that the SIM has reached its Data Cap threshold and no further data sessions will be allowed. An alert is also triggered to the customer once a specific usage threshold of the data allowance has been reached. Reports Tool Simfony Portal provides tools to run reports and gather data for your SIM-enabled devices. Reports can provide information for the entire devices fleet, a specific group of devices, or a single device. Each report can be assigned to a custom Dashboard of your choice, in order to group graphs based on Customer s requirements.

10 Business Portal Capabilities - LoRaWAN 9 Network Presence Services Realtime information about both gateway and device configuration and status offer a complete overview over the operation and health of the LoRaWAN network. Statistics about power usage, sent and received data, signal strength will help users get the most out of their network. Backhaul Connectivity Services While not mandatory, the LoRaWAN management services are particularly suited to be used with Simfony s mobile data networking for backhaul connectivity. Users have a complete turnkey solution with two-way communication via a world wide, multioperator network. Service Execution Engine A flexible service execution engine based on the open source Node-RED project allows users to integrate and receive data from any LoRaWAN device, regardless on the encoding method used. Received information can be used as part of a complex process or can be stored into secured NoSQL data stores. Data Stores and APIs NoSQL data stores based on MongoDB are used to keep an unlimited number of records received from LoRaWAN devices. Information can be accessed via the platform GUI and API, via native MongoDB drivers or by the service execution engine. Security and data integrity are maintained through encryption and multizone cluster replication. Rich Configuration Profiles Each LoRaWAN node can be configured in accordance with the device requirements and specific use cases. Configuration options include join modes (OTA and ABP), Adaptive Data Rate (ADR) mode, RX / TX power options and timers. Also security keys can either randomly generated or set by the user. Reports Tool Simfony Portal provides tools to create and display reports related to LoRaWAN nodes, their configurations and status. The same powerful reporting engine can be used for analyzing actual payload data received by the platform from the device. Multiple visualization options, dashboards, sharing and real-time views offer a complete suite of tools which can be used by users to make sense of their data. C O N F I D E N T I A L
