10 3. Katra-Banihal Section ( in Details) 3.1 For construction convenience and monitoring, this section has been divided into following legs, A. Katra Banganga (km ): Executed by Northern Railway. The work is in progress in full length. The progress of various items is Table-3. B. Km (KRCL, except 33 to 39 and 61 to 91 as transferred to IRCON): of underground excavation for various tunnels being executed by KRCL are shown in Table 1. C. Km : Executed by M/s IRCON. of underground excavation for various tunnels being executed by IRCON are shown in Table Chenab Bridge, Br. No. 44 (KRCL) Chenab Bridge has been divided in four parts for construction point of view, these are A. Construction of Arch Portion (S-10 to S-70) B. Construction of Viaduct Portion (S-70 to S-180) C. Slope Stabilization - Bakkal end and D. Slope Stabilization - Kauri end A. on Arch Portion (S10 to S70) : a. Design: Design of this portion of the bridge has been completed and proof checked by Proof Consultant except the abutment cap of S-10. b. of the Arch: (i) (ii) RCC work: Concreting of S10 (Except 234 Cum), S20, S30, S40, S50, S60 and S70 (Except Pier Cap) has been completed. Workshop: Arch fabrication work at S-180 and Main span deck fabrication at S180 & Bakkal is under progress. Arch fabrication work at wheels India Ltd., Wardha & Trestle fabrication at AIML, Raipur has been completed. 10
11 iii) on Viaduct Portion (S-70 to S-180): a. Design: Design of all parts in this portion is approved and the drawings have been issued. b. : (i) RCC Work: All completed except the pier cap of S-70. (ii) Superstructure work: Deck of Viaduct consists of steel structures of 65 segments which involves approx MT steel fabrication. Fabrication and Erection of segments from AS07 to AS65 have been completed. B. Slope stabilization Kauri end: In progress C.
