4 HBT /20 HALFEN REBEND CONNECTION HBT System description Halfen HBT is a reinforcement continuity system designed to provide simple and economic connections in concrete structures. Te system consists of pre-ent reinforcement ars oused in a pre-galvanised steel casing and cover. HBT reend connections are te result of many years of development, taking uilding site requirements into account: ù ù ù Steel casing - profile wit profiled ack providing a key wit te adjacent concrete and resistance to sear loads. Te casing as sort side returns to keep te steel well ack and provide concrete cover (see c in drawing elow). ù ù ù ù Sufficiant space to give easy access for reending tools. U - saped cover made from pre-galvanised steel seet wit special flanges and preformed ole to facilitate te removal of te covering from HBT casing profile. Casing can easily e nailed to te formwork. HALFEN Reend connection HBT meets te requirements in te DBV-code of practice Reending (2003), and in DIN Building autority approval is not necessary for te HBT-System.
