2 WE ARE MARNEY CONSTRUCTION Marney Construction are a medium sized Demolition, Groundwork & RC Frame contractor based in Essex. We have a long and proud history of work, within both the commercial and residential sectors, delivering projects throughout the South East including Essex, London and Surrey.

3 ABOUT US Marney Construction Ltd was formed by Neil Marney, director of Marney Reinforcement Ltd, in Neil had previously worked for and alongside major RC contractors J. Reddington Ltd and GCL (Ground Construction Limited), developing invaluable experience and a vast knowledge-base in all aspects of Groundworks, RC Structure, Piling and Temporary Works. In 2006 Marney Reinforcement Ltd were putting together a detailed proposal to build a basement RC Frame package in Bexhill-on-sea for Cardy Construction with a value of 1.4 million. This was no ordinary reinforcement job and as a result Neil decided it was time to evolve the company. Marney Construction have grown steadily over the past nine years and have recruited some of the top tier professionals within its field. Now, as an experienced and trusted supplier, we are able to offer a reliable, innovative and cost-effective service to all of our clients. 6 HIGH HOLBORN High Holborn, London WC1V 7EE Synergy Property Group Ltd 2,200, weeks Structural alterations, removal of existing lift shafts & stair cores, groundworks, drainage, waterproofing systems, RC reinstatement We have worked very closely with Synergy and the Design Team to make sure we get this project over the line. Logistically this is a very difficult job and has required serious planning and coordination. We expect to finish this project on time and within budget, even in the adverse working conditions.

7 THE CLAY FARM CENTRE Trumpington, Cambridge CB2 9BY ISG 600, weeks Continuation of RC frame (after original sub-contractor went into liquidation) Marney Construction were called to a meeting in Cambridge by ISG Construction to assertain the feasibility of completing an abandoned RC frame whereby the previous contractor had gone into liquidiation. This included the removal of 1.5 floors of false work which was deemed not fit-for-purpose. Under great pressure, Marney Construction managed to pull this job round for ISG.

8 EASTBURY AVENUE Northwood, Middlesex HA6 3HS Area 29 Construction Limited 1,500, weeks Piling, temporary works, groundworks, basement construction, deep drainage, sewer diversion, RC transfer slab Marney Construction were engaged on this project as principal contractor liaising with the client s Design Team solving problems, bringing the project in on time and on budget.

9 100 VIOLET ROAD Bow, London E3 3QH Formosa Construction LLP 2,425, weeks RC groundworks, temporary works, RC frame Commercial units to basement and ground floor. Residential units from 1st to 8th floors. 2-phase project, phase 1: completion of piling works and capping beam, phase 2: RC concrete frame works.

10 188 COURT ROAD Mottingham, London SE9 4EW Land Development Property Group Ltd 490, weeks RC frame, groundworks, piling attendance We were principal contractor on this project dealing with NHBC, Local Authority, engineers and architects, also dealing with Considerate Contractors. Marney Construction provided all their own welfare office and canteen facilities.

11 38 FOREST LANE Chigwell, Essex IG7 5AE Formosa Construction LLP 220, weeks Piling, reinforced concrete waterproof basement This was the first job with this client which proved to be very successful as on the back of this, we were given a 2.5m project. We carried out all excavations, piling, reinforced concrete works and delta membrane systems to an extremely high standard.

12 GREATFIELDS SCHOOL 192 St Marys, Barking, Greater London IG11 7TE Mid Group Contracting & Consulting 500, weeks Groundworks, drainage, RC foundations Marney Construction carried out the full groundworks package on this project in conjuction with Mid Group and the Local Authority. This was a very high profile job as it forms part of a 5-year contract.

13 UPCOMING PROJECT STONEBRIDGE PRIMARY SCHOOL Shakespeare Avenue, London NW10 8NG Mid Group Contracting & Consulting 400, weeks Groundworks, drainage, temporary road, enabling works Marney Construction have been contracted to install temporary road and remove some of the existing buildings and playground area to make way for a new senior school block. Our involvement includes sewer diversion and groundworks consisting of ground beams, pile caps and ground bearing slab.

14 WYFOLD ROAD Fulham, London SW6 6SL Area 29 Construction Limited 1,500, weeks Temporary works, demolition, groundworks, external landscaping, RC frame, facade retention After long deliberation with our client, Marney Construction were engaged on this contract to carry out the temporary works, demolition, groundworks, RC frame and external landscaping. To say the least, this was an extremely difficult project whereby Marney Construction had much involvement within the design process. Marney Construction painstakingly saw this job over the finish line with many an accolade.

15 BOULCOTT STREET Tower Hamlets, London E1 0HR Guildmore Ltd 1,000, weeks Groundworks, drainage, RC frame Marney Construction were engaged to carry out the groundworks, drainage, external landscaping and 7-story RC frame for this residential block. This was a very straightforward RC frame construction, albeit next to Network Rail.
