Orientation 1.1 General This document is built on the bips B2.010, basic description & specifications Case/September 2008 and this project specific specification applies to the current project. 1.2 Case The city of Trige predicts that the population of the city will grow by 20% by the year Aarhus municipality has therefore chosen to develop an attractive urban area in Trige and wish that future building designs will be both sustainable and green. The contact architect is Mr. Stig Ilkrone, who has already prepared a basic outline plan General The municipality also plans to include a multi-purpose hall with adjoining café and conference facilities and has contacted "GREENLINE" an architectural and engineering consultancy company to get expertise and special technical advice. The municipality and GREENLINE s architects have had their first prep-meeting where they agreed on the following key parameters for both the design and the form of tender for the construction work Contracts/Works 1. The Health and Safety coordinator updates the site plan, for example, as part of the completing and revising the Plan for Health and Safety Re. sec. 2.: The safety coordinator is replaced with the work environment coordinator (b) in the execution phase The Building Site s Demarcation, Fencing and Screening Demarcation The site boundaries are shown on site plan no. <x>. 4.7 The Building Site s Traffic Areas Parking Private parking at <x>.

External Road and Path Areas Soil work contractor establishes, maintains, weatherproofs, reroutes and removes building site roads, paths and crossings in accordance with the tender time schedule and building site plan Internal Road and Path Areas in Buildings Mounting contractor is responsible for the delivery, establishment, maintenance, moving, dismounting and removal of temporary stairs and walkways etc. Traffic areas must be able to sustain the weight of up to 300 kg/m² Lightning in Traffic Areas Electrician contractor delivers, mounts, maintains, dismounts and removes in agreement with the building management lighting in traffic areas. Traffic areas in buildings are lit with orientation lights with a minimum strength of 25 lux. This is done with light-chains. Building site lights are controlled using twilight relays with a switching on clock device with 24-hour and week program. The employer pays for the cost of lighting common traffic areas. External traffic areas are lit from pylons Clearing and Cleaning of Traffic Areas All contractor cleans traffic areas in building(s) for dust etc., which is not due to a specific contractor. This is to be done once a week as a minimum. The contractor must constantly participate in keeping the traffic areas cleared and cleaned. If a contractor s transport or own work is the cause of spill, said contractor must clear up and remove the spill immediately from the site - - even though the spill happens outside the confines of the building site. The contractor must regularly, but at least once a week (usually at the end of the working week) clean up after his work activities. The project management can appoint one contractor as the coordinator for clearing up the common traffic areas together with other contractors. Removal of dust in buildings must be done using vacuum cleaning. If the project management s stipulations about cleaning up are not followed, the work will be done at the expense of the contractor(s) concerned. The costs will be deducted the contractor(s) outstanding amounts owed. 4.8 Cabin Areas and Storage Space Cabin Conditions Cabin and storage establisher contractor delivers, establishes, maintains and removes the following cabins which are available to all contractors: Shared welfare cabins with toilets, shower, sinks and changing facilities, as well as eating areas

Meeting and Office cabins for having project meetings, etc. All contractor makes provisions for the daily cleaning of shared welfare, meeting and office cabins, as well as, for restocking soap, toilet paper and paper towels. Reestablishing terrain after cabin area is undertaken by soil contractor Storage Space Cabin and storage establisher contractor establishes, maintains, weather-proofs and reestablishes storage spaces as indicated on the building site plan. The weather coverings in the storage areas is gravel Lighting in Cabin Area and in Storage Space Electrician contractor establishes, maintains and removes lighting in accordance with the building site plan. 4.9 Work Areas Covering Holes in Work Areas Soil contractor covers all opening and holes through slabs & decks Establishing Barriers in Work Areas Soil contractor establishes, maintains and removes barriers in all joint work areas Lighting in Joint Work Areas In joint work areas with several contractors working at the same time, electrician contractor delivers, establishes, maintains and removes the work lighting. All contractor cleans dust, etc. away from work areas for which a single contractor is not responsible. This happens once a week minimum Technical Facilities Crane and Hoist for Material All contractor establishes, maintains and removes hoist for material cf. building site plan Scaffolding and temporary working platforms All contractor establishes, rebuilds, maintains and removes joint scaffolding of their own Building Site Utilities Water and Drainage Plumber contractor establishes, maintains and removes the water supply, including meter for use in the building project and cabin area for all contractors. Plumber contractor establishes, maintains and removes drainage for the cabin area for all contractors.

Plumber contractor connects, maintains and removes provisional water and drainage to shared cabins, meeting and office cabins Electricity Electrician contractor establishes, maintains and removes the electricity supplies to the building project for all contractors. Electrician contractor establishes, maintains and removes electricity supply to the joint cabins, meeting and office cabins. Electrician contractor delivers, establishes, maintains and removes an electricity meter, mounted onto the building site s control board. The electricity consumption to own cabins and container for materials is paid by the client Other electricity consumption on the building site is paid by the client Communication Electrician contractor ensures that throughout the entire building period there is access to a phone line (land line) for emergency calls Special Provisions for Buildings in Use General Work starts at the earliest at 05:00 o clock and finishes no later than 21:00 o clock. Apart from the official holidays, the following days are included as non-working days: Saturday and sunday Tools must be selected so that they cause the fewest possible adverse effects for potential tenants/employees with regards to noise, vibrations, dust and emissions. The use of radio and similar is prohibited at the location. Access to the locations in use occurs according to the following rules: All contractor employees who wish to gain access to the locations, must be issued with an ID card. The contractor is under immediate obligation to report a potentially lost ID card. Security contractor is in charge of the administration of keys.

Health and Safety 5.1 General The work environment coordinator (Vitas Architects Aps.) is in the project design phase called work environment coordinator (Vitas Architects Aps.). The work environment coordinator (Vitas Architects Aps.) is in the execution phase called work environment coordinator (Vitas Architects Aps.) Safety Meetings Re. sec. 1.: The safety coordinator is replaced by the work environment coordinator (Vitas Architects Aps.). The safety coordinator is responsible to hold safety meetings, make minutes and notes of meeting. All the companies on site must attend the meetings by a representative for their site leadership from the operatives (safety rep) - - if it is required that there on site. The safety meetings are held every two weeks, extra safety meeting to be held in emergency situation regardless regular time. 5.2 Plan for Health and Safety The connection between the project material and the table of contents in Plan for Health and Safety is apparent in Appendix 1. A plan must be worked up for health and safety on site, 1. two or more contractors (employers) simultaneously than 10 persons or, if this is not the case: 2. When the building site has to be reported to the authorities cause the expected work load exceeds 30 days and minimum 20 simultaneously employees or 500 man-days. 3. When the work involves special danger cf. Enclosure Departmental Order 1017, or if the Factory Inspection require similar dangerous works. The person to whom the employer has transferred the duty plotting the Health and Safety Plan and coordinating safety site is named the Safety Coordinator This chapter stipulates requirements regarding health and the building site. The stipulations can be used as part of completing the Health and Safety Plan. The contractor must participate with the Safety Co-coordinator s and follow up of the Health and Safety Plan. Re. sec. 2.: The safety coordinator is replaced by the work environment coordinator (b).

Quality Management 7.3 Project Meetings 7.6 Start-Up Project Meetings The time for the start-up meeting is arranged with the building management before the start of the work. 7.7 The Contractor s Control and Documentation General Control and documentation is part of the con-tractor s services. The contractor must ensure that: a) running quality control of the works and deliveries is done b) produce documentation that the control has been performed and the specified quality demands have been achieved. c) The contractor must immediately establish a systematic archive system and maintain it for the duration of the project Control Documentation The control documentation must be submitted in an assembled set at the hand-over. As a minimum, the control must contain the following: Date of control Who completed the control What was included in the control Result of the control <x> 7.8 Hand-over When the work is reported finished to the project management, the contractor must deliver the required copies of quality assurance- and O&M-documentation for the completed works. 8. Time Management 8.2 Time Schedule Re. sec. 4. Contractor must submit a project plan to the building management no later than <x> working days after entering the contract agreement.
