1 FACT SHEET CPC CERTIFICATE III IN CARPENTRY This qualification provides a trade outcome in carpentry, covering work in residential and commercial applications. The qualification has core unit of competency requirements that cover common skills for the construction industry, as well as a specialist field of work. Completion of the general induction training program specified by the National Code of Practice for Induction Training for Construction Work (ASCC 2007) is required before entering a construction work site. Achievement of unit CPCCOHS1001A covers this requirement. Queensland specific. CPC40110 Certificate IV in Building & Construction (Building). (One Certificate III competency counts towards the Certificate IV program) (Builder Low Rise license - QLD only) CPC50210 Diploma of Building & Construction (Building) (Building Practitioner Registration Western Australia only) CPC50210 Diploma of Building & Construction (Building) (Builder Medium Rise license - QLD only) Career opportunities include employment as a: Carpenter Carpenter and Joiner Installer of Sheds, Carports & Garages, Roof & Wall Cladding (QLD licensing only) This qualification does not have any specific entry requirements. However, completion of Year 12 English and Mathematics is recommended. Enrolments are taken on an ongoing basis. Students can enrol at any time 24/7 online, over the phone or in person during business hours. Enrolment is for a period of 12 months. NOTE: Keystone Training delivers this qualification by Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and/or Gap Training - NOT FULL TRAINING. The candidate requires a minimum of 3 to 4 years experience within this trade. (Please enquire for verification).
