1 FACT SHEET CPC CERTIFICATE III IN CARPENTRY This qualification provides a trade outcome in carpentry, covering work in residential and commercial applications. The qualification has core unit of competency requirements that cover common skills for the construction industry, as well as a specialist field of work. Completion of the general induction training program specified by the National Code of Practice for Induction Training for Construction Work (ASCC 2007) is required before entering a construction work site. Achievement of unit CPCCOHS1001A covers this requirement. However, completion of Year 12 English and Mathematics is recommended. Enrolments are taken on an ongoing basis. Students can enrol at any time 24/7 online, over the phone or in person during business hours. Enrolment is for a period of 12 months. NOTE: Keystone Training delivers this qualification by Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and/or Gap Training - NOT FULL TRAINING. The candidate requires a minimum of 3 to 4 years experience within this trade. (Please enquire for verification). If you have successfully completed ANY of the following Units of Competency or Qualifications listed in columns 3 OR 4 and you can produce copies of your qualification you will NOT have to enrol in the corresponding Unit of Competency in COLUMN 1 to complete the full Qualification because you will be given Credit for that Unit. It includes placement of safety barriers and only involves modular scaffolding restricted to a height of 4 metres. outcomes required to safely install formwork, reinforcement and place and finish concrete for the construction of minor slabs, pathways and other minor works to a specified design finish.
