12 Energy & Equipment Sizing Analysis 1860 Ridge Creek Lane, Bulverde, TX Office: (210) I Foam IT - Fax: (830) Website: Cost Analysis - 30 Year Fixed Rate Mortgage Side-by-Side Cost Comparison Foam It Spray Foam Conventional Fiberglass Cost of Insulation $13, $ 4, Year Mortgage Rate: 5.25% 5.25% Term (years): Monthly Cost (portion of total mortgage payment) $74.35 $ Additional Monthly Cost of Foam It System: $ Energy Savings Analysis ESTIMATED SAVINGS* 53.4% The Foam It Insulation Systems have a proven track record. Benefits like a quieter home, less dust, healthier indoor air quality, and no drafts are all reasons to justify spending a few extra dollars on your home. What is even MORE compelling is that you actually don't have to spend extra dollars on your house to achieve all those benefits! When you use a Foam It Insulation System the savings you experience every month in a lower utility bill actually MORE than pays for the upgrade!! Monthly Cost Comparison Monthly Heating & Cooling Costs with Conventional Fiberglass Insulation $ Monthly Heating & Cooling Costs with Foam It Spray Foam System $ Savings with the Foam It Spray Foam System $ HVAC Sizing Comparison 90 kbtu Furn. / 8.5ton AC 40 kbtu Furn. / 4ton AC 50kBtu & 3.5tons * This energy & equipment sizing analysis is provided by Foam It llc. at no charge using EPA & ResNet preferred REM Design V.12 Energy Analysis Software for the purpose of providing you with an understanding of how foam insulation will dramatically improve your building's energy performance and reduce your HVAC equipment size requirements by reducing energy consumption associated with heating and cooling. This analysis is an estimate of monthly utility costs and equipment size requirements associated with heating and cooling and was produced using known building specifications at the time. Actual utility bills will vary depending on local utility rates and monthly service charges and actual equipment sizing will depend on site conditions, building orientation, window, door, and insulation specifications, and variations between the plan and the actual constructed structure. Electric rate for this analysis was $.11/kWh. If this project is a remodel or addition project, other preexisting energy features of the structure may adversely affect energy savings. This analysis does not include electricity usage associated with lighting, household electronics or appliaces, domestic hot water, or any other electrical consumption not related to heating or cooling the structure. This analysis is not a warranty or guarantee of energy consumption or equipment sizing. It is provided for comparison purposes only and is an estimate of energy consumption and equipment size requirements only. Long-term Energy Savings Summary If you are more of a long-term thinker, then you'll be interested to know how much the Foam It Spray Foam System can save you over the long haul. The analysis to the right shows you how much actual money you can save over time. The annual projections assume that utility rates continue to increase at a rate of 10% annually. The actual rate of increase for the past 15 years has averaged more than 10% naton wide. Cumulative Longterm Savings 1 year: $1, years: $4, years: $8, years: $21, years: $222, years: $1,571,083.95

13 Terms & Conditions 1860 Ridge Creek Lane, Bulverde, TX Office: (210) I Foam IT - Fax: (830) Website: Insurance Foam It shall provide workers compensation insurance and liability insurance as detailed on our certificate of insurance. Foam It's maximum liability is the limits of this insurance. A certificate of insurance will be issued upon request. New & Existing Building Performance Considerations To experience the maximum benefit of the spray foam insulation system, you must have the furnace and air-conditioner sized properly according to latest version of ACCA Manual J using building envelope air infiltration rates consistent with what is achieved when insulating with foam. Ductwork must be sized according to the latest version of ACCA Manual D. The distribution system must meet air-flow requirements in accordance with ACCA Manual J & D in order to operate efficiently and heat/cool the house evenly and effectively. When insulating an entire building envelope (i.e. walls and attic) with foam as is common in new construction, air infiltration rates are extremely low and may necessitate the use of a ventilation system to meet the ASHRAE standard for ventilation. This low infiltration rate is desirable as it is the primary function of foam insulation and the primary way it reduces energy costs. Consult with your HVAC contractor for information about ventilation standards and equipment requirements. When insulating part of the building envelope (i.e. spraying the attic or walls, but not both) with foam as is common in existing construction, air infiltration rates will be reduced substantially, however not to the same degree as insulating the entire building envelope. Still, as with new construction, the reduction in natural air-infiltration may necessitate the use of a ventilation system to meet the ASHRAE standard for ventilation. A qualified HVAC contractor will be able to help you assess your needs and prescribe the appropriate equipment if/when needed. Preparation Plumbing, electrical, and mechanical work will need to be completed before insulation can start. All electrical wires & plumbing pipes must be braced or secured as per code to avoid any distortion or expulsion from the cavity as the foam expands. Foam It will take reasonable steps to ensure that this does not happen. Foam It requires access to within 75 feet of insulation project with a truck. If this is not possible extra charges may be incurred and will be added to the invoice unless previous arrangements have been approved by Foam It. Notes Nominal thickness is defined by being plus or minus 1 inch. Shown is a picture of a typical completed wall insulated to a nominal depth of 3" for a 2x4 wall and a nominal 4" for a 2x6 wall. Note that 3" nominal depth in a 2x6 wall will have a different appearance as the cavity will have less of the surface extending past the studs and therefore less will be cut off. Also note that depth is less of a concern with foam and that the product is at its greatest efficiency at around 3". Do not be alarmed if depths vary greatly. The performance of the building will not be affected by this as the primary benefit in the foam is its ability to seal out air infiltration. Roof deck insulation will not be cut off even with rafters unless otherwise noted on quote. Price Quotes When Foam It gives a quote over the phone, every reasonable step is taken to attain the project details to create an accurate scope of work and therefore an accurate price quote. These steps include getting accurate project information from the property owner/builder as well as looking at the project with available satellite imaging sources as well as other means. However, from time to time, the acquired project information received proves to be inaccurate and thus the project scope, price quote, and performance estimates - which have been based on this inaccurate information - may be deemed null and void. Therefore, once the Foam It crew is on site, but prior to executing the project, the crew leader will do a "walk-around" to verify the project dimensions and information to make sure that it matches the scope of work defined on the work order. If it does, they will proceed to execute the project in accordance with the work order. If it does not, they will notify your Foam It representative and relay the accurate project information so that a revised price quote and scope of work can be created. Then your Foam It representative will notify you of the revisions and you can choose whether or not to proceed with the project based on the revised price quote and scope of work. Should the actual scope of work and therefore the price quote and work order differ from what was quoted over the phone or via , and should you, as a result, decide not to proceed with the project, you may be assessed a trip charge at the rate of $1.75/mile. Billing Foam It will initiate billing of project as work is completed. Invoices are due upon reciept. Any amount in default of the payment schedule will bear an interest rate of 1.5% per month. All work will be performed in accordance with this signed proposal and the cooresponding work order. Items outside of the scope of this proposal and the cooresponding work order may be added by way of an Additional Work Order. No handwritten changes may be made to either the scope, specifications, or pricing contained in this proposal once proposal is signed. All changes to proposal must be made and initialed by purchaser prior to signing. Verbal changes or additions of any kind will not be honored. This proposal may be withdrawn if not accepted within 15 days. After 15 days, purchaser must request a new proposal in order to proceed with project. Scheduling Start dates cannot be guaranteed by Foam It as there are many variables in the construction process outside Foam It's control such as weather, material allocations and shortages, workforce assignments, and work backlog, jobsite delays, etc. When proposal is approved the Foam It Production Department will contact you to schedule a tentative start date. Foam It will make every effort to accomodate your desired start date.
