Meteorology Bureau of Taicang City in Jiangsu Province, Taicang 25400, China Abstract:In order to determine the time and space distribution characteristics of atmospheric pollutants in Suzhou, data of atmospheric pollutants and automatic meteorological observation were collected in three atmospheric environmental monitoring stations (Suzhou, Kunshan and Taicang) in 202. Based on the data, time and space distribution characteristics of 2.5 and 0 were discussed and the influence of meteorological conditions on 2.5 and 0 were investigated. The results are shown as follows. () The annual average concentration of 2.5 and 0 in Suzhou was 42.5 μg/m 3 and 88.5 μg/m 3, respectively, while the average in the surrounding area was 62.0 μg/m 3 and.5 μg/m 3, respectively. The maximum of 2.5 and 0 appeared in spring and the minimum appeared in summer. (2) Daily maximum of 2.5 and 0 in the Suzhou area appeared at 8 to 9 am. (3) Precipitation, air temperature, wind speed, relative humidity played a decisive role for the high concentrations of 2.5 and 0. Precipitation had obvious removal effect for 2.5 and 0, and wind had better diffusion effect. 2.5 and 0 increased with the rise of temperature. With high pressure, 2.5 and 0 concentration increased obviously. (4) The range and mean of 2.5 / 0 at the Suzhou station were lower than that of Kunshan and Taicang stations; there were obvious diurnal variation for 2.5 / 0. Key words:atmospheric pollution; particulate matter; meteorological factors; Suzhou area
