15 WP2 Concentrated Solar Power New cost-effective heliostat concept. 2. Optimized heliostat field layouts. 3. Protective/optical coatings for harsh environments. 4. New receiver concepts for high temperature operation. 5. Advanced combined cycles for high efficiency conversion. 6. New storage configurations and materials for high temperature. 7. Simulation models to optimize the such solar tower plants.
16 EUROSUNMED Training/Dissemination/Roadmap WP4: Training of students/researchers in the field of RenEn. (54 exchanges with labs work, 600 students teached on RenEn) WP6: Synergy creation amongst the project partners, leading to better visibility of their research & development work. (more than 25 joint publications in journals, 35 conferences; 2 patents; organization of 4 workshops, 2 schools,) WP7: Development of a Roadmap, creation of an EU/MPC Associated International Lab and launching an EUMed Master Degree on RenEn. (Identification of needs, set-up of a preliminary Roadmap) 16
