4 Next step: Harmonisation of SECAPs & SUMPs The harmonisation should focus on the following aspects: Creation of a joint database gathering data on energy, environment, climate and mobility Harmonisation of the plans timeframes, namely their reference years and the timing of their monitoring Definition of common indicators Joint management of participatory processes (i.e. the involvement of stakeholders) Electric mobility, which is one of the main joining links between SEAPs and SUMPs and therefore the area that should be developed the most, together with the production of electricity from renewable energy sources Sources:

6 Smart Energy Systems Smart Electricity Grids are electricity infrastructures that can intelligently integrate the actions of all users connected to it - generators, consumers and those that do both - in order to efficiently deliver sustainable, economic and secure electricity supplies. Smart Energy Thermal System Grids is are defined a network as of an pipes approach connecting which the buildings smart Electricity, in a Thermal neighbourhood, and Gas Grids town centre are combined or whole city, and so coordinated that they can to be identify served from synergies centralised plants as well as from a number of distributed heating or cooling production units between them in order to achieve an optimal solution for each individual sector including individual contributions from the connected buildings. as well as for the overall energy system. Smart Gas Grids are gas infrastructures that can intelligently integrate the actions of all users connected to it - supplies, consumers and those that do both - in order to efficiently deliver sustainable, economic and secure gas supplies and storage.
