2 A-3 Information about the project A3.1 Short description of the environmental problem Tivat and Kotor are the coastal municipalities, both situated on the shores of Bay of Boka. Tivat has no sewerage at all, while in Kotor, an old town and a historical monument, only 50% of population is connected to sewage system. Wastewater causes marine water pollution, especially in the Bay of Boka, which has a low rate of water exchange with the open sea. During the tourist season, population of the area increases two to three times.
