11 DM xx-2016 Finnish German Funding Call supporting the European Strategic Energy Technology Plan (SET-Plan) - 2 nd Phase of bilateral cooperation following the Berlin Model

12 DM xx nd Finnish German Funding Call Berlin Model The main intention is to launch projects with participation from both countries and provide funding through the national programs Approved and funded by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy (BMWi) and managed by the Project Management Organization Jülich (PTJ) in Germany and by Tekes, the Finnish Funding Agency for Innovation in Finland. The funding will be granted according to both countries usual funding principles. The call will open on October 2016 and it follows the two stage procedure, first short pre proposals, partners with approved outline proposals will be invited to submit a full project proposal. The proposals should comply with the following criteria: Projects should contribute to the objectives of the SET-Plan. Partners should include at least one German and one Finnish participant Partners from other EU member state or associated countries may also participate, but they will not be funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy or Tekes.

Solar Heating and Cooling) Energy efficiency in industry Decentralized energy systems incl. RES systems and hybrids Smart Grid Solutions for future electricity supply (incl. Smart Metering, DSM) Energy storage (incl. PtG, PtL, PtH, PtX) Batteries for stationary and mobile applications Fuel cells and Hydrogen System analysis Renewable Energies Wind Energy (Onshore/Offshore) Solar Energy (PV, CSP) Geothermal Energy Ocean Energy (Wave, Tidal) Bioenergy, Biofuels (Hybrid Solutions)
