Over the years, we have developed a keen understanding of processes for transformation of first generation agri- feedstocks like sugars / carbohydrates found in cane molasses, cane juice, grains and tubers (like cassava) into ethanol. The Brewery Group integrates hygienic engineering with consistency in plant performance and cost effectiveness for a perfect beer. 8 BioProducts Towards Carbohydrate Economy BioProducts business is built on Praj's biotechnology capabilities. This group is engaged in monetizing the workof Matrix, the R & D Center in the area of Biochemicals, Human and Livestock Health & Wellness and Biofuels. A GMP compliant production unit which is currently producing performance enhancers for distilleries and livestock health & nutrition products gives Praj the advantage of concept to commercialization. The production unit, located near Pune, India is designed to world class standards in hygiene complying with Kosher and Halaal certifications. Distillery Bioconsumable, being marketed by a dedicated group, delivers products to the bioethanol and sugar industry through application of formulations which enhances the performance of the plant. 9 Praj Matrix R & D Center Based in Pune,India, Matrix the R&D center, spear heads break through innovation. The world class facility houses 14 laboratories including a Class Clean Room Facility and Pilot Plants for cellulosic and conventional ethanol. Praj Matrix operates through Centres of Excellence which include Molecular and Microbiology, Bio-Process Technology, Scale-up and process engineering, Analytical Sciences and Chemical Sciences. This has resulted into eleven patents and many patent pending applications. Advanced software tools including process simulation software, PDS package for piping and plant layout are employed to build in accuracy and design integrity. At the multi- locational fabrication facility static equipment, skid mounted units and modular systems are manufactured in various grades of Stainless Steel, Alloy Steel and exotic material like Nickel and Hastelloy.
