4 Federal Alternative Jet Fuel R&D Strategy Outlines significant body of work remaining to be done A Strategy released by the White House s NSTC, through the OSTP s Committee on Technology, and the ASTS Designed to augment the goals in the National Aeronautics R&D Plan Energy & Environment: Goal #1: Enable new aviation fuels derived from diverse and domestic resources to improve fuel supply security and price stability An activity 3 years in the making, led by an Alternative Jet Fuel Interagency Working Group chaired by NASA and FAA Included the collaboration of 10 agencies, and the involvement of the SAJF enterprise in defining R&D gaps and needs 82 specific goals in multiple categories and timeframes, attributed to the various agencies involved 31 March
