1 Viessmann and Bolton College unveil new technology training facility 100,000 worth of Viessmann equipment to provide local students and installers with hands on experience of renewable heating technology. Viessmann and Bolton College have invested in the new state-of-the-art construction centre, providing a cutting-edge facility for studying green technology courses. Fitted with 100,000 of Viessmann equipment, the dedicated training facility will also be used to train heating engineers from the local area, including those from the nearby cities of Liverpool, Manchester and Leeds. A mixture of domestic and renewable heating technologies is fully operational in the new building, including models from Viessmann s popular Vitodens 100 and 200ranges of boilers. Solar thermal, solar PV and heat pump products also feature in the centre, with large detailed graphical displays mounted on the walls throughout, detailing the products key features and how they may be fitted together. Viessmann training manager, Anthony Lobley, attended the opening ceremony to mark the launch of the centre on June 28: We value the training

2 programmes we provide to installers across the UK, and are proud to work with Bolton College at this brand new facility. Quality training is a crucial foundation for every heating engineer. Not only do we offer our installers state-of-the-art training facilities in their local area, but our courses also provide them with the tools they need to really excel in the work place. For example, on completion of our Vitodens 100-W training course, installers are able to exclusively offer an extended 10 year warranty option with every sale, and can log each boiler as Gas Safe registered for free. As a result of an 80,000 investment, the Green Room will not only provide an advanced location for learning about professional heating, but also green technologies and environmentally-friendly construction methods. Commenting on the new facility, Marie Gilluley, Principal of Bolton College, says: The Green Room is a fantastic resource. The green technologies industry is booming and, as such, there is an ever-increasing number of job opportunities in this area. Green Room students will leave fully trained in their chosen field and ready to head into the world of work. I am delighted that we can now offer this type of training to our students.

3 Viessmann s training courses are open to all installers, and are completely free of charge. Currently, training on the Vitodens 100-W range - the manufacturer s most popular tuition programme - is now available at Bolton College. The course, which covers training on condensing theory, range overview and commissioning, will be one of several programmes available by the end of the year.
