According to the direction of Honourable Supreme Court of India, MoEF s OM dt. 18 th May 2012 and latest amendment of the EIA tification on 9 th September 2013, environmental clearance is required to be obtained for our mining project.. Minerals Black Trap will be transported in tractors & trucks by road to consumers. Workers will come from nearby villages on their convenience. 6.0 meter SBZ(Statuary Barrier Zone) is for plantation reserved and after completing the mining activities land acquired by backfilling will be used for plantation. There will be some minor impact on the environment due to mining activity, but Impact is insignificant. Impact will be insignificant, as the local people will be provided employment. About 10 local peoples will get employment from this project Any other actions? 2. Proper maintenance of vehicles, loading equipments and machineries reduce the diesel consumption and thereby emissions. Regular water sprinkling on haul road is suppressing the dust particles and prevents them from getting air-borne. Loading :- Dust emission is generating as the material is loaded into dumpers by loader. There will not be any significant construction activities except for workers rest room and office. Only dust due to transportation & handling of blasted Carbonaceous Shale. The dust emission is being controlled by adopting suitable measures viz. Water sprinkling, plantation, making enclosures & maintaining roads. 6. Generation of ise and Vibration, and Emissions of Light and Heat. 17

P.P.E. like earmuffs are provided to the persons exposed to noise levels.» Measures is being taken to contain noise levels up to 75 db(a) 6.3 From construction or demolition 6.4 From blasting or pilling 6.5 From construction or operational traffic There will not be construction existing at mine. Only mining of mineral will be carried out. 6.6 From lighting or cooling systems Existing mining is open cast thus emission of light and 18

There will not be risk of contamination of land and water due to discharge of untreated waste water. However, no untreated sewage will be discharged in the open land causing the contamination to ground water. The waste water generated will be treated in the septic tank followed by soak pit. 7.3 By deposition of pollutants emitted to air into the land or into water During operation phase there will emissions generate from loading and unloading and mineral handling, transportation and mobile sources. Dust generation will be controlled by water sprinkling. Hence, no risk of contamination of air, water is 19

20 envisaged. 7.4 From any other sources There will not be any other sources, which will contaminate land and water resources. 6.0 Is there a risk of long term build up of pollutants in the environment from these sources? t Applicable. 8. Project proponent will organize regular medical checkup camps and recreational activities. Employment to local people will be generated. Overall living standard of nearby people have positive impact. The mining activities will have positive impact if environment measures are effectively implemented. Greenbelt along barrier zone of 6.0 mtr. will have positive impact on surrounding environment. 9.3 Set a precedent for later developments Mining of mineral will be existing with rated capacity 3,00,000 TPA and to obtain this, loading of mineral by manual. Existing green belt development will help in increasing the aesthetic beauty of the area. 9.4 Have cumulative effects due to proximity to other existing or planned projects with similar effects The area is free from any disturbances. There are not any industries or development projects in its close proximity. 21

Forest Resources : There is no reserve or protected forests in 10 km radius area. Water Resources : Mostly Surface water bodies (Seasonal) & ground water is the major source of water in this region. Water table is 40 m to 50 m during pre monsoon and post monsoon period respectively. Ultimate working level is above the water table hence will not intersect. Agricultural Resources : 23

(those where existing legal environmental standards are exceeded) Major occupation is agriculture in this region. ne 12 Areas susceptible to natural hazard which could cause the project to present environmental problems (earthquakes, subsidence, landslides, erosion, flooding or extreme or adverse climatic conditions) The water level in river may fluctuate depending on the rainfall intensity. According to BMTPC Vulnerability Atlas (earthquake), t he study area falls in a Zone-III. There is no incidence of landslide but in 2001 a major incidence of earth quake was there. There is no date available flooding of the area. (IV). The projects involving clearance under Coastal Regulation Zone tification shall submit with the application a C.R.Z. map duly demarcated by one of the authorized agencies. showing the project activates, w.r.t. C.R.Z. (at the stage of TOR) and the recommendations of the State Coastal Zone Management Authority (at the stage of EC). Simultaneous action shall also be taken to obtain the requisite clearance under the provisions of the C.R.Z. tification, 1991 for the activites to be located in the CRZ. 2. The projects to be located within 10 km of national Parks. Sanctuaries. Biosphere Reserves, Migratory Corridors of Wild Animals, the project proponent shall submit the map duly authenticated by Chief Wildlife Warden showing these features vis-à-vis the project location and the recommendations or comments of the Chief Wildlife Warden thereon (at the stage of EC)". 3. All correspondence with the Ministry of Environment & Forests including submission of application for TOR/Environmental Clearance, subsequent clarification, as may be required from time to time, participation in the EAC Meeting on behalf of the project proponent shall be made by the authorized signatory only.
